Much of this is was cased by the freemium model which IMO is obnoxious and drives me nuts. All because people are too CHEAP to actually pay for an app upfront like they should. These clowns have $700 dollar phones and $300 a month phone contracts but just cant fork up $5 bucks for a full version of an app.

Nice job. Ya cheap bassturds....

2 things.

1: They have changed the button to GET, but they are still under Apple's category of FREE

So Apple are still now saying they are FREE apps, you just now press GET to download them.

SO that's silly.

I have said for years now 2 categories PAID and FREE are not enough.

There should be at least 3 categories if Apple wish to be honest with customers. Free Apps should be free.

In-app purchases and DLC were all created by Satan. I miss the days of paying for an app or game and not having to put more money into an app.

Im glad apple now just puts 'get'. I cant tell you how many times i was excited about downloading a game from the app store then finding out later on i had to pay $5 for each level. Or I had to keep buying coins packages.

Apple has changed the wording for free games in its App Store, and the app purchase buttons that once read "Free" for apps with no cost now read "Get" instead.

Apple will next pair with The Black Eyed Peas on their exclusive iTunes Album release. Gotta Get Get. Gotta Get Get. Gotta Get Get.

its because when it reads

GET
in-app purchases

you have now agreed. You can't go back and say you didn't know and ask for a refund. Its black and white clear as day.

Given how much time Apple spend defending their ideas from immitators or flat out thieves, using anything Will.I.Am had anything to do with would be a conflict of interest :D

None of that has changed as now instead of FREE it just says GET for those games. It's not like it separates them out or anything like that.

I'm fine with it saying GET on the apps own screen, as it makes sense to me. Though on the app's listing screen it looks a little odd to see "GET" as a price.

Though, I just have to wonder. How long did it take them to approve this change? I can seriously just sit here and picture some people sitting around a conference table going over the pros and cons of changing a single word. haha. :p

But now people arent deceived into thinking the game or app is totally free.

Don't think this will change whatever thinking the vast majority had about it one way or another. If someone didn't see the clear in-app purchase indicator that has been there for a long time now and somehow was "deceived" into making in-app purchases down the line, that won't change for them just because they see "GET" now--in fact more than likely for most of the very few who would fall into that category "GET" would imply pretty much the same thing anyway (as in something they can get without paying for it).
