Anyone not named Pitt moving in is a good thing.

I still smile whenever I think about the Simon's refusing to sell The O to Pitt.

Agreed. I get that Oakland is mostly Pitt but...good on The O for staying true. I'd like to think this will only be good for the University as well.

What is the O? Yinzers be speaking in code. Simon's selling the O to Pitt. I also noticed on the Pitt city data forum the people always have to talk so you must be in the know to understand anything. Same with asking directions around here.

Ask your bank manager when you’re going to fork out over 5k next year.
$5,000 Hong Kong is $642 US. With 5G I’d expect an increase to maybe $749 for iPhone 12. But if there’s a model without 5G I could see a small price cut to $649.

We won’t know until Sept whether you nailed it 🤷‍♂️

It’s already happening. For the same price of an iphone, one can buy a laptop.

The O is noted for its fries. I work in Oakland now. Besides Pitt you have CMU Carnegie Mellon University, Carlow and Duquesne University. Besides the Universities there is a huge Medical facility UPMC (Unv. Pitt medical center).

I think these satellite locations around the country are Apple's way of giving back.

I'd actually like to see more of it, and dare I say some initiatives involving minorities.

I stand by my comments.
In the U.S. one can buy a Nissan Versa automobile for $13,000. One can also buy a Bugatti La Voiture Noir for $12.5 million and at every price level in between. All can be driven to an Apple store. Its good to live in the First World where people have choices to fit their budget. If Apple products are too expensive, don't buy Apple products.

It’s quite clear you know what I meant in my OP. Overpriced Apple products to make excessive profits. Now that’s a bad apple.

Not sure if you are just saying these other places are nearby, but Duquesne and CMU aren't in Oakland.

Duquesne is kind of obvious (it's downtown and the actual neighborhood name is Bluff), but CMU is actually in Squirrel Hill North.

Neighborhood map with all the street level boundaries:

C'mon, no love for Philly? Don't make Gritty sad.
