I recently (well, a few months back now) purchased the Studio 3s on sale as well, for exactly the same reason. The ANC is good, although not stellar, but the easy switching between devices (I have two computers and a phone I regularly switch between, and having to "disconnect" a BT headset from wherever it is now before "connecting" to the next one gets really old really fast) makes up for all their faults and was why I ignored the Sony MX3's at a near-identical price. From an ANC perspective, these are clearly superior to the Anker Soundcode Space NCs I had before them, which in turn were worlds better than the Monoprice ANC headphones, but not quite as isolating as Sony's offering (I don't have Bose QC3s to compare with).
That said, my Airpods Pro seem to be far more effective at ANC in many environments than the Beats, so undoubtedly the "next gen"BeatsApple Studio 4 (or whatever) will have similar ANC and ear calibration.
At $350, it would be product suicide if it didn’t.Wonder if the over-ears will have ANC.
Not necessarily. Sales may be a little suppressed, but I think there will still be significant interest. Based on rumors, Sony’s replacement for the WH-1000XM3 (WH-1000XM4) will look nearly identical with improved battery life and maybe a couple of other minor improvements so Apple may have something that is tempting enough to lure people away who are interested in the Sony cans. Sony has a great headphone, but the Apple logo on cans that perform as well if not better may be the icing on the cake for some.not a good year to release $300 + headphones IMO
wireless headphone to the current Apple ecosystem is like iPod socks and case and remote and belt buckle to the iPod ecosystemThis makes me miss Steve Jobs so much. Remember when Apple made just a few insanely great products? Now they’ve got their brand on all sorts of crap.
Generally speaking, Prosser believes that Apple's ultimate goal is to eventually phase out the Beats brand
At this point with the pending releases of both Apple’s over the ear headphones and Sony’s successor to the WH-1000XM3, it makes the most sense to wait. At the very least, you’ll get a discounted WH-1000XM3 if you don’t think the new models are worth it, but I have a feeling they will be worth the money. As for ‘over ear’ headphones, I just purchased the Sony WH-1000XM3’s last Monday. (They retail for $350, Similarly to what Apple will price their rumored headphones.) Blown away how quality these are with the construction/quality materials, fitment, Sounds/ANC is all on point.
If someone doesn’t want to wait until these ‘rumored headphones’ until June, highly recommend to look into these.

Do they have the ”courage” to use a higher quality bluetooth audio codec yet?![]()
$350.00, yeah I'm out. As much as I need a new pair of headphones I can't justify tossing that kind of coin out there. I'll just watch some reviews for around a $100.00 pair and call it good. Not like I'm doing any super high quality audio editing that requires the top of the line stuff. Love Apple products but that product clearly isn't aimed toward me.
What’s a legitimate source on a rumors sites?Okay, I know it's a "rumors" site, but I expect at least somewhat legitimate sources to be posted by the MR staff.
Ming-Chi Kuo comes to mind. What’s a legitimate source on a rumors sites?

The person who leaked this has a great track record...Ming-Chi Kuo comes to mind.
I'm not a fan, but Beats has a loyal fanbase. Apple spent a TON of money to acquire the brand. I see no reason they would just drop the brand.
not interested in trading sarcasm with you. byeeeeeThat's it?
This is a rumors site and as such any one rumor is just as valid as the next, until true or false and as such your comment was disingenuous.not interested in trading sarcasm with you. byeeeee
Apple spent the money to acquire the music streaming service and Iovine's industry contacts. The headphone dept was purely extra (not that Apple was complaining, given its profitability). But I never saw the Beats branding as fitting in with Apple's image and always felt that they would eventually drop the former in favour of having purely Apple-branded products.I'm not a fan, but Beats has a loyal fanbase. Don't they sell the most headphones of any brand in the US? If so, they bought a lot more than a streaming service.Apple spent the money to acquire the music streaming service and Iovine's industry contacts. The HomePod was pretty stellar when it came out so I think there’s a good chance Apple won’t release these cans until it compares favorably with the best Sony and Bose have to offer.Given the track record of the currently severely crippled ANC on the AirPods Pro and the excellence of the ANC on the Sony WF-1000 and WH-1000 series units, I'm not holding my breath for the Apple product to "perform as well if not better". There is absolutely zero evidence that Apple's product can or will match or exceed what Sony has refined over the past five years.
