Apple Researching iPhone Cases That Can Charge AirPods and Other Accessories

I think it’s totally doable for a product like this, but the consumer would have to want a specific case like that in the first place. That all said, I don’t know that I want my AirPods stored in my case, I just seen too many mishaps where they’re not protected like they would be inside the actual AirPod case.
More than anything, I think the price point would push away consumers, being when you factor this will probably be made of leather, and then the fact it can charge/store the AirPods, it probably would cost north of $160.

So, if not good enough for Apple to be rich... they now want to try and put Mophie and others out of businesses, but use the term "its just competition" as a fall-over? "Why having battery case when you can get one from Apple which will also charge other accessories?"

I don’t use a case. I always protect my iPhone in a leather sleeve but reverse charging is the welcome feature
