Ah! That makes perfect sense. I did a WiFi update. Normally update via iTunes, I have the saved IPSW, I'll do it that way. The gestures are almost always what causes the issue, good catch. Thanks mate!

One last thing I noticed, the "bug" with mismatched movie posters displayed on the iPad via home sharing still exists. The only solution seems to be turning off home sharing on the Mac and iPad, rebooting, then re-engaging (most likely to clear/reset caches). Very odd.

I haven't encountered the that bug myself... Probably because I have all my movies stored locally... But I'm getting close to needing a 128GB model.

So what do you want? Do you want this site to stop reporting and close down?

Nope, don't be stupid! The incessant dribble of rumors about a product that even the most stupid of people knows is coming, and yet the site is bombarded with it.
How about focusing on important mac related rumors, we all know Apple are bringing out new gear, that's there job. No surprise there.

I wonder how long people will wait in line so they can buy a differently-colored-yet-near-identical-to-the-one-they-already-own phone, just to cover it up in a silicone or TPU case hiding the color?

And out of that set, what percentage will be hipsters who will be talking about how much they hate big business as they wait in their line to buy the phone that they will claim that they used to carry around long before it was cool?

Lots.

Can't wait. Buying iPhone 5S on launch (as long as it's what the rumors say it is).

Almost time to retire my 3GS. Unless of course apple bodge the release with some critical hardware bug.

Maybe I'll wait till closer to xmas and let others be the beta testers :)

After saying that Apple is doubling down on secrecy, Tim Cook must be about ready to have a stroke. I am not sure that there is much we don't already know about September 10!

KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has incorrectly predicted release dates all year long, said "September? Did I guess September for the iPhone yet? Yeah, yeah... September...".

I wonder if Apple has been baiting Kuo and even changing their dates sometimes.

According to my sources, I think the iPhone 5S and 5C will be released anywhere from Sept. 15 to Sept. 28th.

No, it will be Friday the 13th of Sept. They want to scare up some big sales numbers. ;)

For an internal Apple calendar that thing certainly does look atrocious.
It seems to be the ubiquitous Aspect workforce management software that most call centers use. Amusingly, Aspect has a very close development partnership with Microsoft - if you could see the rest of the interface, you'd notice a very strong similarity to the Outlook web app.

A lot. Probably the same amount of people laughing at Samsung for using plastic and then using a plastic case to cover their iPhone 5.

I think Tim Cook knows what Apple can keep secret and what they cannot. And it doesn't make sense to try and fight battles they can't win. Too many iPhones and iPads need to be manufactured to keep them a secret. Too many supply chain bozos. And besides, everyone knows Apple releases new iPhones and iPads every year.

While we drool all over these iPhone 'leaks' I'll be Apple is keeping something else nearly completely secret.

poor employees, bad timing. really excited for the new iphone, and, not to forget, the rumored ipad 5 and ipad mini 2 launch in september.

im sure a competitor can design, test, certify with the FCC and start manufacturing a new phone in the next 2 weeks just to compete with this new iphone everyone is talking about

What competition, I'm sorry but the 5S is rediculous. At this stage of the game their gonna lose alot of fans with an s series stretched out 4" screen. Don't get me wrong, I do miss ios after switching to an Android phone but Apple seriously needs to step up their game and bring people something they want.

More and more the comments being made here for the people excited about the next iphone are scarce, better yet made by plain fanboys. What are some of these people excited about? A faster iphone 5 with a better camera. Yawn....

Where's my 5" iphone? Give me a choice!

Arrggggg Apple Arggg how you frustrate me.

So, they use WordPerfect at Apple? That screenshot is Netscape 2.0-esque, design wise.

Hmm

It's internal only for a reason. I hope they got fired over this. Not saying this is "huge" news, it's just sad how much you can't trust some people.

i'll probably upgrade to this from my iphone 5, but i'll wait until november when best buy and wal mart will have it on sale again like last year

I used to get super excited when I use to hear stuff like this.. now? for what? .. yawn

I cannot remember what version of Aspect I used at my last job but I didn't catch the resemblance. Maybe I was just on an older version but i do remember it mimicking the 2007 era Office style. Working at IT now at a few hospitals I am really surprised to see how many of these clinical medical record programs mimic that same style.
