If they still offer the SIM tray in Canada.
It is just far easier and cheaper to swap SIM when traveling overseas.
It is far easier and cheaper to add a temporary eSIM when traveling overseas.

By the way the financing interest free over 24 months is a good option to buy such an expensive device.

That is why I don't understand why there are people cheering Apple for this kind of anti-customer behavior.
For some of them, they’re entrenched in the walled garden and never want to leave. For example, every device owned is from Apple and they don’t stray.

For some of them, anything outside of Apple is trash and they don’t understand why others would want to use those products. For example, Android and Windows suck! Only poor people use that garbage.

For some of them, it’s just to get the other side riled up online. For example, person X online said this so I’m going to say the opposite to upset them. Tee hee!

For some of them, Apple can do no wrong and anything seen as anti-Apple is blasphemy. For example, if a software hurdle exists in Apple product A - like setting software restrictions on how many monitors a laptop can handle - then just spend more money and buy Apple product B. Why are you so cheap?

For some of them, customers having options creates hoops and hurdles that Apple will eventually be forced to resolve and that’s not fair to Apple. For example, multiple app stores being implemented in the EU and other countries having similar discussions.

Can’t paint them all with the same brush because that’s not the right thing to say/do.

This is good news, though as someone that works at a telecom in sales in Canada it might make my life a little harder lol.

Have you Leafs fans been saying that since 1968? /s
Yes we have!!!

And weve been THE most proditable home team since! I tell you its something to do woth the draft Molson Beer here ;) it was worse when the Maple Leaf Gardens on College street was home turf lol. Now with ACC, Burkies bacon dogs, TTC & Go stations in less than 7mins walking distances adn lots of bathrooms man you can be straight up drunk & stuffed to your hearts content!!

Aint no way you can reach your car or puke on the ground - just cant be done: underground parking too far away n to dizzying to reach youll be on transit so much easier while bumbling. And if u need to hurl youve got batjrooms everywhere you cant miss!

So yeah we still saying we'll get Stanley every year!! We've gotten closer more often than the 80's ;) i think 😆

That’s why it’s being removed. It’s also too easy to take your SIM card out and move to another non iPhone. Removal is to create an obstacle
No. eSIM is to save on end user cost as well as boost stolen phone security. Your phone stolen 1st tbing theives do is pull out the sim card, and try to disable wifi and bluetooth. Guess which has more accuracy wheb moved beyond 10m ?! Thats tight carrier network can trsck you even when roaming to 10m accuracy and does NOT depend on how many other cellphones with a specific tech (wb) to echo locate your phone.

Remember the news of that Saudi princess being held by her father then escaped only to be captured aome 1000mils away over seas all of a sudden?! Yeah cellphone network tracking! I personally could do this years ago using Ericsson or Nokia switches while at T-,Mobile USA Cx supoort (outsourced) and then Rogers Wireless in early 2000's (just after Rogers purchased Fido/Inukshuk and switched to GSM from TDMA, the ink wasnt even dry that late summer). This was GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks aka 2.5G ! Im sure its much more accurate now!!

before they block you bank account because of an opinion
Yeah we pushed hard to get that guy out! He finally "quit" with a cowardly shady tactic. May be proven for personal or his teams gain whoch is illegal. Hopefully we'll get the right guy and team in. Unfortunately we dont have an 8yr max limit tho.

glad to see there are people able to understand how eSIM is much better than a technology from the ‘90s like SIM.

Sadly, that does not apply to some places which is politically unstable and have essentially banned burn phone numbers.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but if I had to lease a phone over 2 years, I'm just going to buy a $300 phone from another manufacturer.
It’s not a lease, it’s an interest free loan. I wouldn’t pay interest on a phone, but I’d take an interest free loan and invest the money I’d have spent on the phone instead.

Do you think those places are a target market for iPhone ?
A thousand dollar smartphone ?
You will be surprised how big the world is. There are places that's economically strong, but have oppressing governments.
In fact, the place I am thinking of is one of the launch market for the iPhone each year.

Care to say which one are you talking about ? I’m literally traveling all over the world as my job. I know how big it is

That's the smart answer for sure but you're probably in the top 5% of people that would know how to invest, where to invest and how to make some money on it.

I have already provided all the information that is needed.
It is not my responsibility to provide your argument points for you.
No you didn’t. We were speaking about “Politically unstable” countries and you put Honk Hong as an example… you really just wrote random things.
