I knew they were underpaid to begin with, but it must have been like wages of slave labor. Glad to hear they're getting a small bump. $4 in today's economy is pathetic. But then again, that's what one gets for being too lazy to get a good education. Before the haters jump in, I paid for every penny of my Masters. No one gave me a cent.
Oh I was so hoping that this level of, whatever it can be called, had been surpassed. But clearly, I'm a bleeding heart liberal who actually gives people the benefit of the doubt. Thank you for reminding me how useless THAT is.
LAZY?!?!?! "But then again, that's what one gets for being too lazy to get a good education." If I were your parent we would have a very long talk, one that possibly employed the oral application of a solid cleanser, about using words when we don't understand what they mean or what they imply. Your statement implies that no one who works at Apple Retail is educated beyond High School.
Many of the people working that job are doing so concurrently while they work their way through college. Many have their ADVANCED degrees in ANYTHING before they go to work there. Some have just fallen on hard times and either can't find a job in their field (HELLO!!!!! ECONOMY!!!), or for some other reason can no longer put that to practical use (like a failed business perhaps, or medical or psychological problems that might disqualify them for an extended period from their chosen field).
I don't understand why people continue to badmouth the Apple Retail Employees. They are extensively and continuously trained on product knowledge CONSISTENT WITH THEIR ROLE, so that means a Sales Specialist isn't going to have the intimate technological knowledge that Genius will. Nor should they, these are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT JOBS.
To say that these people are lazy and uneducated, and therefore should be grateful for the pitiful scraps they're thrown, and are somehow undeserving of slightly larger scraps
. I mean
. really. Are you 12?????
