Just like last week, Apple once again plans to open three new retail stores this Saturday, continuing its push to open a total of 30 new stores between July and September. ifoAppleStore details the openings, which include two in the United States and one in France.

- Carré Sénart (Paris, France): Actually located in Sénart on the outskirts of Paris, the store is Apple's fourth in the Paris metro area and eighth overall in France.

- Northlake Mall (Charlotte, North Carolina): Joining the SouthPark store across town, the new Northlake Mall store will be the second in Charlotte and fifth in North Carolina.

- The Promenade at Chenal (Little Rock, Arkansas): First discovered back in March and apparently sped up from its original timeframe calling for an October opening, the new store is Apple's first in Arkansas. The state is ranked 32nd among U.S. states by population with 2.9 million residents and has been the most populous U.S. state without an Apple retail store. The opening will leave just six states (Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming) still without stores, and West Virginia, ranked 37th with a population of 1.8 million, will become the new most populous state without an Apple retail store.

Does anyone know when the Burlington, Ontario, Canada store will be opening? It seems like it takes a very long time for an Apple Store to open from when they start building.

So many stores... opening all the time...

I think the Burlington store is opening relatively soon... a vague reply, not too helpful I suppose... :p

Very disappointed that MacRumors did not go with the much better headline "West Virginia defeats Arkansas, Steals Crown."

When will you get a chance to use that again, MacRumors? Barely ever.

Excellent news!
At least for those living in the areas lucky to get one or more stores...

How about expanding to more countries?

Wouldn't it go the other way around? At MacRumors, isn't it considered a good thing to have an official Apple Store in ones state, and not a good thing to be the most populous state without?

Also, when is Apple going to put up a store that is closer to me? I have three stores, each exactly an hour away from me.

Apple stores everywhere...

Wow, so many Apple stores ... .

... but I'm really looking forward to visiting the ones in NY (Grand Central Station) and in LA, on the Santa Monica Pier ... those should be awesome... .

I just got the email about the Charlotte store grand opening a few minutes ago. Maby this will help with the iPhone 5 launch line. iPhone 4 I waited 8 hours at southpark.

paris?

Not wanting to sound snooty but I think you'd be hard pressed to describe the new store as being in Paris. It is not within the Paris metro area, as such, being 20 miles to the south of the city, though you can get to it by RER.

If Apple wants a store in Paris, they should buy the Louvre and drop it in the glass pyramid. Anything less is just not clever enough. Besides, I'm pretty sure they get the same crowds.

Now that's what I call a good idea. And Steve is probably already in talks with the mayor ;-)

Have you ever considered moving closer to one of those three stores? It appears that you're living in a no-Apple zone. ;)

It has to be pretty close. That black wall has been up for most of the year. I'd wager very heavily it will be up before the iPhone 5 launches in October; and with Apple seemingly opening a couple of retail stores every week, I'd expect it to happen anytime now.

It will be great not to have to make the trip to Sherway Gardens or Square One anymore.

Yep and they are calling it "le Royale with music store" the genius bar will be called "Le clouseau"

While I would love to have an Apple store in WV, my guess it that the first one would go to Morgantown to capture the students and the .edu crowd. And that is actually farther away from me than the 2 stores in Columbus, OH.

Plus if they put one in Charleston, it would cost me a whole lot more money. ;)

You must be kidding, right ? Cause that's exactly where they opened their 1st Apple Store in France... right below a glass Pyramid under the Louvre.

I wish this were an option, but for college reasons, I'm stuck in Lake Charles for at least the next four years. :(

And quit your whining about being only one hour away from an Apple Store. The closest one to here is almost three hours away.

Personally I'd rather just live in a state without an Apple Store. It's kinda unfair that I have to pay a convenience fee (sales tax) that doesn't even apply to me since I still have to have it shipped. Seriously, a whole month's payment on my iMac is just gonna be to pay the taxes, that I shouldn't even have to pay, since I ordered online. ><

Ah well... the ability to get into debt is a privilege, not a problem. Gotta remember that. About half a year ago, I wouldn't have been able to buy anything on credit.

This is awesome! I HATE going to South Park Mall in Charlotte. Way too uppity for me.

Charlotte gets two, but Asheville gets none. There are four different companies in Asheville either servicing or selling Macs. Maybe that's why they aren't coming to Asheville; they figure we have it pretty well covered.

While I'm pretty sure our technicians are smarter/more knowledgeable than you're going to get from an "Apple Genius" at an Apple Store, there's still stuff that we just can't do. If your power adapter goes bad, we have to order a replacement from Apple. If your iPad goes bad, we have to ship it to Apple. If there's more than one thing wrong with your laptop, we get penalized if we don't ship it to Apple. If there's something wrong with your iPhone, we can't do anything at all.

You could move to Dickinson, North Dakota, and then you could complain about any Apple Store being at least a day away. :)

If you have three Apple Stores within an hour drive away from your location, consider yourself fortunate. The large and sparse clump of Montana, Wyoming, and both Dakotas have exactly no Apple Stores at this time. If one was put somewhere, I imagine it would be either Fargo, Sioux Falls, or Billings that would get one.
