Apple return for replacement

    I found two imperfections on my new Macbook Pro.

    Apple agreed to sent out a replacement, since the nearest Apple store is an hour drive for me.

    Do I need to send the current one in first? Or, I can send it in after receiving the replacement?

    I did get an email saying 'your order is being processed'...

    Anyone has experience?

    You can wait to send it back. You have 14 days to return the laptop. Since they've started processing your order they will ship it shortly after, they won't wait until you send yours back. I know this because I initiated a return and the apple rep told me the same thing, they would send me the laptop when they received my return. I told them I needed a laptop for lab for 2 weeks and he just said "did I solve your problem, is there anything else", I told him no and hung up. However couple hours later I got the "processing" email, 2 days later I got the shipment info, and 2 days after that received my replacement. Still have both laptops but I'm sending the first one back tomorrow. Already boxed up and ready to go.

    Thanks a lot for the information.

    I'd hate to go without a laptop for a week...
