I came here to find a post from
@FeliApple and to my surprise no post from him considering he would love a topic like this 😁
I mean, this surprises nobody. Practically the same adoption rate as iOS 18. This shows that people either have automatic updates on (I’d LOVE to see how many users keep that enabled. I wish Apple published that), or that people just update.
This, interestingly, shows something else: either because people don’t know or because enthusiast forums don’t represent the general public, Liquid Glass has had NO impact on people staying behind, even if you can’t reverse or disable Liquid Glass (well, now people will have the Tinted options). This may be either because the general public doesn’t care, or because since you can’t downgrade it’s a one-way street and there are some regrets, but I doubt it.
This basically keeps proving what I keep saying: people update willingly, henceforth they willingly install garbage updates, therefore they deserve to use garbage iOS devices when updates inevitably kill them, and Apple’s responsibility is not that high, because this shows that people are content with the status quo.
Not even Liquid Glass, a controversial design change, is enough to move the needle out of this level of adoption? Again, this is either due to automatic updates and the regret level is somewhat higher (I do NOT think this is the case), or people just don’t care.
Fine by me. I’ll stay behind.
