Pretty amazing shots, makes me want to upgrade to a new phone![]()
Man, insane photos. I wonder how much touch up there was in post for these. These couldn't have just been straight out of camera?
Phone camera is just a tool, it's the photographer that does great job!

I feel that the tree photo is not Mumbai. Shop signs seem to be in Arabic. And the taxis that run there don't have that lighted indicator on the top like that either. Erroneous location tags?
Definitely Lofoten, Norway as I've been to this exact spot before. Amazing photo but weird that this was missed.
Depends on where one considers the line to be drawn, since the iPhone's camera is pretty heavily in the realm of computational photography already.I've yet to make a photograph where there was not some post-processing involved.
Just imagine what the next iPhone will be capable of doingPretty amazing shots, makes me want to upgrade to a new phone![]()
The interesting thing, here, is that even with a great dedicated camera, shots like these are rather involved to set up and would typically involve longer exposures times and blending multiple exposures, in addition to some considerable post processing (to, in the hands of a professional, a superior result—provided the subject itself allows for all this fuss, which isn't always the case). Which is to say, manually doing a lot of what the iPhone is doing behind the scenes.Absolutely beautiful shots. Although dedicated cameras still win, you need to get higher up on that echelon to beat what iPhones can now do. It’s amazing how phone-based camera systems have really arrived, from professional-quality photography to filmmaking.
iPhone 8 doesn't support this mode.I’m not impressed. This contest Apple seemed to focus only on iPhone 11 models entries although they did not state so.
my unedited entries from iPhone 8
No, I bet they took their time.Lots of Russian winners...
Yes, they did. Explicitly: “Users are invited to share their impressive Night mode images captured with iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.”I’m not impressed. This contest Apple seemed to focus only on iPhone 11 models entries although they did not state so.
I’m not impressed. Sry. Maybe they would’ve been better with Night Mode.my unedited entries from iPhone 8
Great shots, however I'm very skeptical of the people in the distance on that Rubén P. Bescós (Pamplona, Navarra, Spain), iPhone 11 Pro Max shot. They look too clean, almost like concept art when you zoom in and see how well the lines flow between all the animals and people. Some of the cloth reacting to what appears to be wind in the scene seem inconsistent in the direction it's blowing (Flag poles, tail hair, body position as if moving against strong winds, etc.)
The poles they are carrying are a little strangely designed, as that they're all connected. I'd be curious to know what that culture uses that type of pole design for if so. A couple of the hands holding these poles don't look well lined up to actually be holding them. If the person was holding them at their finger tips, that may make some sense but given the strong wind ques and the odd riccity structure of the connected pole design makes me skeptical of managing such a pole with finger tip style grip.
The proportions of 9th character looks very stylized in the legs, almost Disney like.
The mass of the second 3rd donkey/animal is missing a head. Maybe it happened to be low, stretching when shot though.
Perhaps this one got accidentally submitted?
All great shots! This one just looked a little too suspect in the object(s).
Ahhh! Yes, I should have read more careully. An art installation. I'm happy to be incorrect here! Thank you! It's is a photo of a monument (metal statues of pilgrims).
Apple please include an option to permanently disable night mode.
While it can take nice photos in certain situations, it ruins night photos of subjects in motion, like kids.

Why would they have a Night Mode photo contest with iPhones that don’t have Night Mode?
I’m not impressed. Sry. Maybe they would’ve been better with Night Mode.
I was happy with my XS, even with it's "sorta night mode," until I saw what the 11 is actually capable of.
No, I bet they took their time.
I will admit my Halloween shots this year weren't great. :-/
