It refers to Home Sharing and Sharing photos with Apple TV so, for now, it looks OK. Note however that it refers to "downloaded music...".

Thanks for the link, I'm a big user of home sharing - it would be... not nice if it were to go away.

I'm not worried about "downloaded" music, suspect that's just wording to differentiate against music in the cloud.

Not sure what is stopping you from doing this right now. YouTube supports multi-user logins in the tvOS app and it lets switch between profiles easily.

Why would you want to have to navigate through an app, when you're already signed into your account? It's frustrating to have Netflix, and constantly be switching user profiles (and previews).
User switching should be seamless.

I gave up on Apple Music Family Subscription after my family "SHARED" my well curated library with their JUNK . . . . TIDAL has been curating incredibly well ever since.

MIGHT have to Apple Music ananother try.

Apps on the dock can now play full-screen video previews on the Home screen, instead of just showcasing still images.

Autoplay crap like this (with sound, even) is what keeps me from launching the Netflix app unless I know exactly what I'm looking for.

I did recently discover there are options in tvOS to shut off autoplay at least in some situations -- they're under Accessibility along with a bunch of other useful stuff...

Auto-play trailers? Way to take the worst feature of Netflix and implement it, Apple. Hopefully at least Apple will let us turn it off.
Check the Accessibility controls -- there's a setting in there that at least kills it on the home screen and in Apple's apps.

Conspicuously missing... any mention of "Computers" (even in the below-the-fold icons) or Home Sharing. Home Sharing not mentioned in any materials related to iTunes split-up either (that I've found).

"Houston, we (I) may have a problem."
I’ve seen from the Catalina beta. Home Sharing does still exist. It’s now activated in Settings> Sharing Tab and now called Media tab. With the separate apps you can now specify what type of Media library you want to share. So I am expecting the Computers app still exists unless they roll it into the TV app.

Computers App still there

I wish they'd allow combined photos from 2 different accounts.
Our kids love the TVOS Photo's app and especially the auto-magically created "Memories" movies of themselves.
The draw back is that it is all my photos and none from my wife's iphone or account.

I would have liked to finally be able to find something in my movie collection instead of having almost everything lumped in Action and Adventure but no, we get new screen savers... how I love Apple. At least the other announcements were decent. It still seems there are interns at work on tvOS unfortunately.

Don’t give them any good ideas... tvOS might actually improve

I’m excited about some of the changes but I really wish they’d finish things they started first. Siri still doesn’t work in English outside the US/UK, for example, and it really shouldn’t be hard to fix that.

I’ve always wanted “iTunes as a service” so I wouldn’t have to keep the main app always running... if this works as well as the current method then it will be a welcome change!

"The updates start at the new Home screen, which Apple said is "designed for discovery." Apps on the dock can now play full-screen video previews on the Home screen, instead of just showcasing still images."

That's the only snag i have. Particularly being full screen. Apart from this, everything else is good

Agree. Would be great not to have an App running on my mac in order to use Home Sharing.

Of all the things Apple has created outside of hardware and OS improvements the Photos "Memories" feature is by far the best thing they've done in years.
My family actively looks forward to that notification on my iPhone saying there is a new memory.
We know it is coming if we've been on a day trip, vacation or visited someone (who's face I've added to "People") for their birthday and I have their birthday in my Contacts app. It even does pets too ("Fluffy friends", "Four legged friends"). The use of AI with your photo album is terrific.
Kids love it!

My top request is a way to group a movie series together, so it's easy to watch them in order. MCU, Star Wars, etc.

THAT would be great & the ability to just go straight into the next episode and even an intro skip.

I agree. It is a nice feature. But it would even nicer if it could include all family pictures.

Not sure what you mean about Apple Music Family Subscription allowing your family to impact your own curated library... If everyone is using their own Apple ID (which is the intent) then you each have your own library and nothing in their library should show up in yours. I have the Apple Music family sub, and my wife, my daughter, & I each have our own libraries that do not intersect. Nothing they add to their library shows in mine unless I seek it out and add it on my own, and nothing shows in either of theirs that I and the other have added to our own.

Memories from the Family Shared album would actually be a great idea!

Hey guys...is there any word on if the AirPod sharing will work for an Apple TV too? I see some airplay options in the new control center...so I’m hopeful. This would make my life so much better as the IT person for my wife who wants to watch shows on headphones with me at night!
