Hope someone can tell me what to do to resolve a home network problem. The host computer is a quad 2009 Mac Pro, connected to an Apple base station, the older non-n b/g UFO type (sorry don't know the official name, Airport ...? Both (all other computers) are running the latest updated verion of SL, 10.6.2
When connecting other computers, such as a MacBook Pro via airport (or ethernet cable), the 2nd computer gets a DHS number assigned and intranet sharing is possible both ways, guest to host computer or vica-versa. However, no direct internet connection is possible, browsers and mail applications do not have internet access. Turning on internet sharing on the host allows for internet connections, but is it possible to setup this network for direct connections? Is this a setting on the router problem? Sorry for the noob question, I know so little about networking I am not even sure my question is phrased properly. Any help appreciated.
