Has Apple lost its innovation fully, nothing new since Steve and now they trying to catchup with Google on home automation :)

They never learn, they can't beet Google when Google is on the move, look at Apples maps, so so sad.

I think by the time that the new Apple spacecamp is ready, Apple has started to decline and after 5-6 year Google takes over the building :)

Catch up? Catch up to what exactly. Last quarter Google's sales were 95% search/ad's, yep thats a correct number, its the same company it was when it was founded, only bigger. Not a lick of their public R&D projects have contributed anything measurable to the bottom line. Google has potential...nothing more.

Well I guess a lot of that 95% might be from all the extra info it gets by tracking everyone's emails and calling and location data.

Yes, accessible in that the computer gets out of your way. But not without the ability to do more with it, if you are so inclined and have the ability.

The second part of your statement being highly debatable. I heard arguments from the very month the Mac first appeared that it was robbing users of power. What was really being said is that it takes power away from the gatekeepers, and puts more power in the hands of the non-techicially inclined, which roughly translated, means "the undeserving."

Not disagreeing necessarily, but in the wise words of Tim Cook, you never get the full picture from a single data point.

Everything that Google is doing, at the end of the day, is to drive ad revenue, so it's not surprising, it means something is working.

The more users Google has using their services and buying into their ecosystem, the more they can monetize them.

I'd rather have it right than fast.

lol and ping was so right, so was Final Cut pro, so was Logic Pro X..

Yellow card for you!!

So you think Sennheiser Cans are not overpriced? Their arguably better, but all premium headphones are overpriced if your looking purely at cost plus mark up.

----------

Red Card!

Okay lets pick on Google today......Last quarter search/advertising on their freeware made up 95% of total Google sales (fact). Everything you read about the wonders of Google are public R&D projects, nothing generates any appreciable sales. Don't get me wrong, I like some of the stuff their doing but really as a business its going nowhere and its starting to become obvious. So Apple late to the party? Nah, just a lame party with a bunch of dweebs and no babes (sorry ladies).

WTF are you talking about? Sennheiser (whom I know very well) have excellent headphones, with some lovely 40mm drivers, but as you say completely overpriced, however beats are just crap overpriced EQ'd headphones.
As for google did I ever mention Google, no I don't think so...

Lmaooo you've probably never even listened to a pair of Beats .

Their deal isn't just about headphones you fool .

Really whats about then? a streaming service with a minimum amount of subscribers, or some hyped up headphones.. as someone that works in the music industry I've heard Beats headphones..have you? or you just the standard sheep the likes everything shiny and silver made by Apple..I might be a fool (and proud to be one) but I'm not an idiot like you ..

Did I say Google search, maps earth?

Was not Apple about to ditch Google search in favor of Bing also but the did happily not but they did ditch Maps and the result :D

Catch up on innovating. So what 95% 5% is more than Apple is using for pure R&D if you skip the design-look-cool department.

Compare Android and IOS, Google has done everything and its free to use and its running on everything small and big that is really fantastic.

Compare the mobile phones, iPhone is the second worst when it comes to RF and thats what mobile phone is about! Where was Apple R&D when they made the RF stage and not to mention the antenna in iPhone 4 which they fixed by a giving away a protective shell and adjusting the signal strenght meter :D

How about Washing Machines?

One of the most tedious things for me is getting the clothes washed. I am the unhappy owner of a front load washer. Because of our soft water, the cycles of our washing machine does not include enough rinse cycles to remove soap. I always have to reset the machine to do another couple of rinses, in addition to the two I can preset.

I would also like to be able to set the water levels to add more water than what the manufacture provides. There has to be happy medium between a top loader and a front loader. Yes, I want to conserve water, but I also want to preserve my clothes and get them clean.

I would also like to set the duration and speed of rotations of the drum for rinse or wash cycle, the water temperature and every other control. I have looked for a washing machine where "I AM IN CONTROL" and not dependent on the manufacture's presets. In other words, I would like to be able to customize to my liking, be able to save my preferences for different types of clothes or things that I need to have washed. It is most frustrating for a 49 minute cycle to actually take over an hour. And then have to start another couple of rinse cycles.

I am sure that manufactures have done their research, but I would like to be in control of the cycles for my stuff and be able to have the machine work the way I want in the least amount of time possible.

I am sure there are others that would benefit from the same concept. Perhaps Apple's HomeKit (or similar) could be the basis of giving the owner control over their own appliances.

Appliance manufactures, thanks for listening!!
