Story time.

So a couple weeks ago I thought I'd treat myself to an Apple Watch SE. I had an Apple Watch Series 3 when it was new and it was great but I sold it after a year as I didn't use it as much as I thought I would. No problem. Going back to a couple weeks ago though, I thought I'd probably try harder to use it as it could be quite useful now since all the updates.

I buy a the watch with a green band, size 9.

I get the watch and try it on, the strap is too big. I used the tool on Apple.com to see what size I was and thought a size 9 might actually be quite snug. Incorrect.

I talk to Apple Sales Support and said I have a size 9 watch band, can I get a size 8 instead (in the green). They said no, they have no stock. So I asked if I could have a size 8 in another colour, black would be fine.

They point blank refuse and say it's simply not possible to do that.

What?

After trying to come to an agreement they made it quite clear it's simply not possible. I have since sent back my watch and gotten a full refund and have now learned... I definitely don't need an Apple Watch.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Last night I went into my local apple store and exchanged my band from a size three to a size two, and got a different color. A lot of times it’s better to go into an Apple Store.

last year I a band frayed by the connector. The associate said it was easier to return the purchase as new in box and then turn around and resell the watch back to me with the new band
