Several of Apple's iCloud services are experiencing issues at the current time, with the System Status page reflecting problems with iCloud Mail, iCloud Storage Upgrades, iCloud Web Apps, iWork for iCloud, and Photos.

iCloud Web Apps and iWork for iCloud are both listed as having an outage at the current time, and Apple says that some users may be experiencing problems.

The other services are shown with a yellow "Issue" warning, but they have the same note about some users experiencing problems with the service. The outages have been ongoing since 2:36 p.m. Eastern Time.

Update 5:53 p.m. ET: Apple added Find My and iCloud account sign in to the list of services experiencing problems.

Update 6:41 p.m. ET: The Find My issue has been resolved, but the other services are still having issues.

Also seeing Drive for about a couple of hours now. Ditto Calendar, Reminders syncing.

We’ve been getting syncing errors in iCloud shared folders in Files between my wife & my own devices. This explains it; will hopefully be resolved soon.

Could this be an Iranian cyberattack as retaliation for the US bombing of the Fordow and Natanz nuclear enrichment sites?

iCloud Services Down — Even the Cloud Has a Limit

Cupertino, California — June 24, 2025 — Apple has confirmed that iCloud services are currently experiencing what experts in the industry call a “full-blown tantrum.” Affected users may be unable to access files, photos, contacts, or their own sense of inner peace.

While the exact cause is still under investigation, early indicators suggest iCloud simply got overwhelmed and “needed a minute.” We’ve all been there.

“We’re working around the clock to restore full functionality,” said a frazzled Apple engineer as they softly wept into a turtleneck. “We appreciate your patience while iCloud finishes its midlife crisis.”

In an unexpected show of cross-platform solidarity, Microsoft’s retired assistant Clippy emerged from digital exile to offer the following comment:

“Hi there! It looks like you’re trying to access your files.
Would you like help crying in the corner instead?”
Thanks, Clippy.

While we restore services, we recommend the following coping strategies:

  • Practice mindfulness. Or mindlessness. Whatever works.
  • Relearn how to use a USB stick (ask your dad).
  • Use this time to reflect on why your Wi-Fi password is still “ilovedogs123.”
We’ll keep users updated via our System Status page, assuming it, too, doesn’t mysteriously vanish into the ether.

Apple has never been particularly skilled at managing the cloud. While these incidents are acute, users have been getting little hints of problems such as lack of syncing of iMessages across various iOS and MacOS platforms as well as lack of syncing of Apple News.

They should take some lessons from Google about how to manage cloud services.

This is why I started keeping original photos on my computer again... had to go for double the storage I previously had but the peace of mind is worth it!

I agree, I am just not confident that the "Download and Keep originals" is actually always working. I hope it is, but am not positive it is working. lol

It says Apple Invites is up and running but I’ve been unable to send them. Could be because I’m on the iOS 26 beta, hoping it’ll be resolved when the other outages are restored.

Is any one having apple pay/wallet issues, I made a couple of payments on my Apple Card and they did not show up in Latest Card Transactions so i removed my Apple Card and re-added it and now it only shows my installments…

It’s always a bit annoying when iCloud services act up, especially if you rely on them for work or photos. Hopefully, Apple fixes this quickly so things get back to normal soon.

Sounds like you are on a hate phase of your relationship. Lol

I’m past that. Have moved on to cheating.

Incidentally no iCloud on that. Or any cloud connectivity. So didn’t notice.

Perhaps that’s where I should go.
