I'm wondering if this is why the "Favorites" in Mail are greyed out and messed up. I tried to rebuild the folders but I'm guessing Apple's outage might be the cause, especially since it's happening on both my Studio and MBP.

Yes, iMessages non-sync is always a problem - or it's so epically slow it just LOOKS as if it failed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And when did it work properly?

Since my first iphone/ipad there were always sync issues, Photos not wanting to sync etc.

In iOS 26 they hidden the sync status even deeper in Photos App.

And it’s funny that I am using iCloud email, but still when I read an email on Mac it won’t mark as read on iPhone and vice versa.

Faced some issue while uploading a file to iCloud drive around 12 hours back. Now everything seems to be ok.

This is why I started keeping original photos on my computer again... had to go for double the storage I previously had but the peace of mind is worth it!
Yeah I'm crazy paranoid when it comes to iCloud. We have a Mac that downloads our entire photos library, and then that gets backed up to a QNAP via time machine - not a huge amount of trust in cloud services over here!

There are e-mails I was expecting from Amazon during that period that I never received once iCloud was up again.

Has anyone else noticed e-mails sent to them during that period never made it through?

I'm using Apple's iCloud Custom Email Domain for one of my mail accounts. I'm still not receiving any email on that account. I can create a new address for that domain and it works fine, as does catch-all but the one address I use for all my personal email just stopped receiving any email yesterday at the time of the outage. I can send email from it without issue. This is currently escalated with Apple support. It's making emergency consider moving my mail somewhere else.

Wise move. I know someone who lost everything.

I do similar.

Having similar problems. Fastmail is on the table here as a potential alternative.

As of today, 5:15 p.m. EST, my macOS Mail app isn't loading any new emails since yesterday. However, I can see the latest emails on my iPhone and iCloud.com. I am not sure if it's being fixed or is still ongoing.

Anybody else having this problem?

I've a call back tomorrow with their elevated tech support. If this isn't sorted after that I'm moving to Fastmail. It's already totally unacceptable to be unresolved after what is now 48 hours never mind any longer than that.

Yeah I couldn’t save sent messages for the best part of the day.

I’m on fastmail now, migrated using imap-backup. I run a business so I need this to be reliable.

Moved to Fastmail too yesterday after almost 2 weeks of back and forth between myself and Apple support.

Doesn’t make me feel particularly great about Apple’s services if one of the richest companies in the world can’t solve an issue like this for a paying customer. Pathetic.

Good to hear another move to independent services.

The lack of support generally frustrates me. I’ve had delivery problems with Apple’s mail services which have completely gone now on fastmail.
