Apple Scripts fail to run properly 10.5.2

Hi all, I thought this was an isolated incident burt now I realize every time I try to run any applescript my whole screen up to the menu bar turns white, then gray and then the script will crash. Occasionally a few scripts that have just an ok or cancel dialog will work if I just hit enter (They still turn my screen white and gray though but when I hit enter it selects ok for me even though it isn't visible). Anyone having this issue?? I cant seem to find an answer or solution for this and I can usually solve these problems on my own but I'm stumped so I decided to ask my fellow oh so wise macrumours members for help.

No one has had this issue? Really? Any advice? Im trying my best to avoid an archive and install.

Come on ppl nobody has had an issue like this. Ive narrowed it down to something in HItoolbox.framework but I'm not in a rush to do to much prodding around until I've got a bit of a better idea of what I should be looking for i.e., where possibly applescript runners resources are? So if anyone can help me there it would be great, but if no one does ill just let this be and assume I'm on my own.
