Hopefully we see some major improvements.
It is time for some battery life improvements and iPad OS screen flickering issues resolved.
What screen flickering issue? Seems like a hardware issue not software. I haven't had or heard of that issue from iPadOS 17.

Because it doesn't roll out to every single device at the exact same time. Just because you don't see the OTA right away doesn't mean it isn't out.
I am running 8 devices to update. It wasn't any faster on any of them. This morning was very much an unable to find updates via OTA which was different then usual. :p

There was a lot of unable to check for updates today for some reason, normally you don't see that. The update usually shows up quicker dependent on the package size. MacOS is usually the last one to show OTA. ;)

I'm about to update. Does anyone know if this fixes the issue with abnormally large iCloud device backups? My typical backup is 5-6 GB and now they are over 60 GB.

EDIT: Beta 5 fixed this issue, my 14 Pro backup is back to 5.5 GB again.

All my devices on 17 are 3-4GB. Delete your backup and start a new one.
I tried that but it didn't help. I'm updating to beta 5 and will try it again. There are some posts on Reddit with people saying the same thing about large backup sizes.

Hopefully this resolves the issue with Beta 4 that some folks were complaining about - iCloud backups not running. I was ready to install Beta 4 until I read that.

It's not a HW issue - doesn't happen in iPad OS 16 - and it has been reported by others.
It seems to be tied to auto brightness which once disabled seems to stop the problem.

Hoping this fixes the (minor) CarPlay issue of the up/down/left/right controls not working to quickly navigate, have to use the rotational control in my car at the moment (no touch screen)
