After suffering mediocre battery on my 2016 15" with the prior betas I think I'm going to sit this one out. Yesterday's 10.12.2 update made battery life great for me on day one.

glad in less than 24 hours you made a battery assessment

This is awesome, Apple! I hate it when my computer isn't running beta software!

Oh boy, cue emoji jokes.

Wait, too late

Cue people complaining about those complaining about emojis!

Are we finally to the real maintenance updates yet? The ones that benefit all users?
I'm still on El Capitan because I'm not going to install a .0 OS upgrade, and so far all the updates are focusing on adding emojis and fixing problems on the poorly designed 2016 MacBook Pros. Waiting for the general 10.12 bug fixes to come out.

My understanding is that all the bugs will be fixed in 10.13 or later release.

10.13 will definitely accomplish the removal of all bugs. It'll be stripped down to the point that bugs will be impossible. 10.13 will simply boot to a screen that says Apple is the best. Then promptly shut down.

If you need more functionality than can be accomplished with their simplest operating system ever, then clearly you don't need a computer... what you need is an Apple Watch with the latest watch band (we all know the watch bands are where all the functionality is).

We need an exploding phone emoji.
Also, a bricked Apple Watch and a bricked iPhone emoji would be very useful for everyday conversations too.
exactly i think that is going apple next step. emoji gif. i don't like emojis but i think animated gif emoji are better than static ones.

But then we will have bugs from 10.13 release...

The zoom sometimes doesn't work after the latest update. I have to restart. Does anyone know how to fix this without restarting?
You can kill the ZoomWindow process from Activity Manager, it will take around 5 seconds until it restarts by itself and it should work ok afterwards.

I hope in this upcoming release or the next major release Apple produce a DESKTOP operating system, instead of a thinly disguised version of iOS. It's getting to the point where macOs is so stripped down and dumbed down, and the software that comes with the Mac is so lacking in functionality it isn't worth buying a Mac anymore.
Like what?

I am not sure what you heard, but I haven't run into any bugs with 10.12. Everything has been stable on my 2016 MacBook.

I'll be nay sayer here. I don't often buy Apple stuff for the first few months, nor do I do updates until at least a few releases in.

So far with 10.12.2, things are working nicely. While I am not a power user. I do quite a bit.

Printer works better than it has for the last couple of releases, 10.10 & 10.11
Continuity is working better, and iCloud sync'ing is even working, including clipboard.
I'm not getting bugs and glitches that I used to.

So, 10.12.2 is so far, so good for me. Actually, 10. iOS 10.2 is doing really well also.

Best releases in three years, I'd say.

There has got to be a happy medium here. I come here because I am a fan of Apple and especially the Mac.

Along with many other's, I have number of frustrations with some of Apple's decisions. But does every article have to turn into a rehash of every issue that people have?

I got so sick of the 5400 RPM complaints on articles that had nothing to do even with hardware.

I don't want to criticize the valid complaints that people have, but I'm sick of the repeated whining.

And the only thing worse than the off topic whining, it's having to listen to all the people who think they are funny, but aren't.
