What good does that do if you can’t play music? Without turning on your television? I shouldn’t need to turn my TV on just to listen to music. With the actual Apple TV remote app, that doesn’t exist for the watch, I can turn on the Apple TV and continue playing music. Can’t do that with the iTunes remote app that is on the watch.
I didn't speak to playing music, I merely responded that one of your statements was not true. I am not in disagreement with you, suspected you might not know that you could turn it on and perform some basic tasks.

Blame Verizon. They haven't implemented the SSO feature into their app.
Even once they are added to the line up of SSO providers, they channels still have to come to an agreement with the provider to allow mobile/web access. Once that much is done it’s up to the channel’s app to encode it properly to make use of the SSO feature. It’s not automatic.

Yep. But not all apps. It seems to work fine in Hulu and on the home sceen to add apps to folders. Doesn’t work in Netflix or VLC.
It will still work playing video directly from iCloud. My bet is it has something to do with AirPlay 2. ATV4s now show up in the home app too and it seems that it’s supposed to display a status indicator/message of some sort. It doesn’t work correctly either. Left the MacBook at work so no bug reports from me until next week.

It would be nice to have a web browser on Apple TV.

It's really odd that they don't. I use Puffin on my Android TV all the time for websites I frequent. The fact it has Siri speech to text, and a trackpad, with an optional Magic keyboard, makes it kind of a no-brainer. That said, I find it much easier to navigate to what I want on my iPad, and mirror it to the TV via AirPlay, when I'm just surfing the web. So maybe Apple is holding out to encourage the purchase of more Apple products from new customers attracted into the ecosystem by Apple's least expensive product, once they learn how they can get more out of it? Also, if there were a browser, then customers would be able to bypass the in app purchases, and just go straight to the websites to get content?
