Apple Seeds First Beta of tvOS 13.2 Update to Developers [Update: Public Beta Available]

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming tvOS 13.2 update to developers for testing purposes, a little over one week after releasing the tvOS 13 update.

Designed for the fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV models, the new tvOS 13.2 developer beta can be downloaded onto the Apple TV via a profile that's installed using Xcode.

tvOS updates (aside from major releases) have historically been minor in scale, focusing on under-the-hood bug fixes and improvements rather than major outward-facing changes. Apple provides little to no information on what's included in tvOS updates, so we may not discover anything new after installing the new beta.

Though we don't often know what's new in tvOS updates, we let MacRumors readers know when new software is available so developers are able to download it upon release.

If we find anything new in the tvOS 13.2 beta, we'll update this article.

tvOS 13, released earlier in September, introduced multi-user support, a new Control Center, Apple Arcade and controller support, new screensavers and more.

Can someone go into audio settings and see if anything has changed (hoping for bitstream output)?
 
My siri controller stopped being able to turn on my 4K ATV since I updated to tvOS 13, but it works fine once the ATV is on... go figure. I wonder if I’m the only one. It’s quite annoying.
 
On tvOS 13, when I use Spotify and stream it through AppleTV, the music stops after a while and the whole AppleTV turns off. Like it's going on a screensaver. It makes listening to music pointless with this device. I hope they fix it -- I don't recall seeing this issue on tvOS 12.

I think this was done purposely. I noticed the same thing, that button works every time, all the other inputs don't wake the device.

tvOS 13 has been flakey. Closed captioning is being displayed right in the middle of video. I'm having some connectivity issues with Home Sharing I didn't have before. H1 headphones have gotten in a weird connected but not connected mode on me a couple times. I welcome a point a release.
 
I cant get the update i’m on the release version but when it checks for updates it gives me the last tvOS 13 beta

i think it's a new beta profile for the .2 update.

the event last year had invitations go out oct 19. there is nothing right now that indicates there will not be an event.

when someone gets a chance to test it out, please report back if you see any major performance improvements or new features.
 
I know that there is a remote app on the Watch, but, I hope they add the actual ATV Remote app soon.
It looks like it might be here someday. There is the ATV Remote icon on it's Now Playing tile. :p
I mean, come on...the Watch could be the best remote.

Not just Spotify, happens when AirPlaying Apple Music from iPhone.

I just got a 4K for a theater room I in my new home. The Best Buy website says you will still get the year of TV service free for a year.

Unless you got a great deal and/or must have it now, I would return it. There's an outside chance for updated Apple TV at the end of October.
 
I await the public beta as there are so many issues with the GM release of tvOS 13 is almost laughable, especially they are with core new features such as user switching and arcade!

I assume not many beta tested tvOS as I have seen no mention of the issues in blogs, my favourite is if you switch users to a family shared account arcade apps don’t launch you just see a subscribed message on the screen!

I have 3 Apple TV 4th generations and they all behave the same. This is just one of many issues!
