Apple today seeded the first version of an upcoming watchOS 2.2.2 update to developers, three weeks after releasing watchOS 2.2.1, a minor update that introduced bug fixes and performance improvements.

The watchOS 2.2.2 beta can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app on an iPhone by going to General --> Software update. To install the update, the Apple Watch must have 50 percent battery, it must be placed on the Apple Watch charger, and it must be in range of the iPhone.

We don't know what's included in watchOS 2.2.2, but as a 2.x.x update, it's likely to focus on bug fixes and performance improvements rather than outward-facing design changes and feature tweaks. We'll update this post with any changes that are discovered in the watchOS 2.2.2 beta.

"We don't know what's included in watchOS 2.2.2". Generally speaking, updates overall are lacking in information. App updates will say bug fix and performance improvements. Those are both great things but I wish there were more requirements to say what exactly was changed or added.

Anyhow, loading now and maybe I will run across something different. Ha.

Nope, iOS and OS X are Beta 2 but WatchOS is beta 1

Nope, the developer site clearly states WatchOS 2.2.2 Beta 2 build 13V601

Although there is no download link for a beta configuration profile for the watch, so i can't see how anyone can install it yet....

Not even Apple knows what version this is.

LOL. How did you manage to download it? I can't see a profile to install and my phone is on 9.3.3 beta 2 and won't offer it.
Seconded. There is no profile available on the dev center, and 9.3.3.b2 does not offer it.

I installed WatchOS 2.2.2 Beta 1 a while back, today is Beta 2 but seems to have some issues with the name in places. Pretty sure my phone said Beta 1 while the site has Beta 2 listed. Who knows.

There was no 2.2.2 Beta 1 released 2 weeks ago. Maybe Apple forgot to release it. But this is the first beta of 2.2.2 for the watch. Clearly the only thing that is accurate is the watch app OS update page.

Multiple sources are reporting this is the first beta, because indeed it is.

Found a profile for watch beta. Is it forbidden to share in here? :)

I guess I will be the one to say it. The reason why there is no Public Beta for watch is because there is no way to downgrade without sending your watch in to Apple. Only people that should test Watch betas are actual developers that are developing apps for the watch. I would advise against posting it here, because it will lead to a lot of people complaining that their watch is bricked or broken from a beta.

Second that, but so far so good on my watch :) nothing I expect new or improved. Only build number raised up :)

Good to know. Not going to install it here, because knowing my luck it will break everything! I finally got my move streak working again after the disaster of 2.2. So I am content!
