Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming iOS 15.1 update to developers just a day after releasing iOS 15 to the public.

iOS 15.1 can be downloaded through the Apple Developer Center or over the air after the proper profile has been installed on an iPhone or iPad.

There's no word yet on what's included in the update, but there are a number of features in iOS 15 that have yet to be released, such as SharePlay, so we could see these introduced in the new software for testing purposes. We'll update this article when we download the beta and find out what's new.

Can someone check if slide-out multitasking is fixed? I use messages as my slide-out, but if I open messages by itself, it no longer stays in multi-tasking. Pretty annoying.

From the dev portal:
SharePlay has been re-enabled in iOS 15.1,iPadOS 15.1, and tvOS 15.1 betas, and no longer requires the SharePlay Development Profile.

So I guess SharePlay is coming with the 15.1 release.

15 was only out yesterday macOS needs an update last update over 3 weeks ago
Monterey is still stuck at Beta 6, meanwhile iOS 15 had Beta 7, Beta 8, RC, Public release, and now Beta 15.1 There must be something seriously wrong with the development or lack of resources to explain such an unprecedented wait for updates.

Staying out of this beta for now. New phone gets here in a few days (hopefully). Interesting to see if they add the macro camera switch or battery percent. Probably not.
Me too. Want to be able to restore from an iOS 15 backup rather than have to set up as new, install the profile, update the new phone to 15.1, and then restore from a backup.

Same. Resisting the urge. I swear I end up doing it every year and then am annoyed at myself, so I just went and deleted my beta profile now so that it doesn't tempt me. LOL

Yes. Yes. Yes. The first year I was smart enough to do the same. Saw the update notification and remembered, No, don’t, that’ll inconvenient Friday.
