Did you have any pdf's in iBooks? If so did iOS 9 wipe them out? (Did to mine). If so, did you find a way to get them back?

*Wiped all from my iPhone 6, wiped none from my el capitan Mac, wiped all but one from my iOS 8.4 iPad air 2. (I begin to wonder if by not going to iOS 9 public beta on my iPad has blocked iBooks from syncing all the pdf's back from the Mac.)

I use notability a lot more these days than iBooks because you take notes and highlight better. So I had not tested iBooks yet. I just went into my iPad and iPhone and the key PDFs I was expecting to find are still there, so it does not seem to be affecting me (iPad Air2 and iPhone 6). The health app, on the other hand, crashes all the time.

I hope this fixes the troubles with Touch ID on iPhone 6.

And yes, I have cleaned the sensors and even tried resetting with different fingers and it barely accepted.
From 95% clearance rate it's down to less than 50% :(

iPad Air 2's Touch ID works like a charm on iOS 9 pubic beta thankfully.

I'll stick with iOS 9, which I quite like, except when I have to restart the iPhone because the Control Centre won't show up.

Maybe they'll add some tweaks to the music app. They need to do something about the status bar clashing with the album art. It's often difficult to read it.

This.

They should just make it a white background with black text.

Done.

Jailbreak and you can remove the bar and that dumb arrow blocking the album art. And a lot more. :)

more updates are better than fewer updates. :D

Seriously not intended as a trolling comment, but these are words that I never thought I'd see on an Apple User forum... And again, I get the intention and everything that goes with it. I just find the wording really humorous. :)

Well I updated from 8.1 to 8.4 and nothing has really been better, wifi is still broken(2.4ghz works, but 5ghz is not working on 3 of the iphone 6's and my 6+). My galaxy note 3 connects to wifi no problem. My itouch works with wifi on ios7, and my macbook air works perfectly on my wifi. Now I can add music to my list of problem, I've created multiple playlists and some songs just go missing, or playlists get deleted all together. Also sometimes I'm listening to an apple made playlist and it just goes to some random song, like I was listening to some rock 2000 playlist and after 30 minutes I have taylor swift blank space go on with eminem going on right after.

Glad I'm still on 8.3.

Thank you, guinea pigs.
Although it's always good to be cautious, 8.4 is fine for most people. Remember... this is MacRumors. People don't come here to rave about how well a software update is working for them, when people naturally expect software updates to work fine.

Yeah, like giving the NSA easy access to your phone and providing new and interesting ways for malware writers to install unwanted software on your phone.

Sure.

But I've seen a few warnings about battery life, some of which seem plausible.

Yes... but different people have battery life issues with different iOS updates. Literally, there have been complaints of decreased battery life with every iOS update. I'm fairly certain you've experienced at least some updates that don't decrease or maybe even increase your battery life- updates that some people may say have decreased their battery life. So other people's issues don't necessarily have any impact on you.

Of course, 8.3 isn't a bad place to be considering 9 comes out in about two months. Still, I'll say that 8.4 has been great for me.
