I really like how there is almost nothing leaked about iOS 15 and all the other software updates for this year. Makes me so excited for wwdc

Developers have almost no time to prepare software between WWDC and the fall release of an OS. Apple doing things like massively changing the UI like in Big Sur and having all their apps updated ahead of times really puts developers in a bind. You're not a developer and WWDC is a DEVELOPER CONFERENCE. Developers like to know way ahead of time if there are going to be major changes to the OS, the way Google and Microsoft will announce dramatic changes 6-8 months ahead of release. Apple only gives us 3-4 months.

What unfixable issues? I use CarPlay daily and have had zero issues.
Well, for me the issues are… odd. The best example is when I send messages. So, I activate Siri using the steering wheel button and after the beep my exchange kinda goes like this:

Me: Send a Message to my wife.
Siri: What do you want to say?
M: I’ll be home soon.
S: <long pause> Your message to Julie G….

and then it just.. stops. Mid sentence. It refuses to read the message back, and since I cannot confirm I want to send the message because it effectively shuts down, my only recourse is to click Send on the screen, which seems to work, but defeats the purpose of hands free. Also, if I ask it for a particular song, the exchange after activating Siri goes like this:

Me: Play ‘Rock and Roll is King’ by Electirc Light Orchestra.
Siri: <says nothing at all, but the pause suggests in another universe, Siri is saying, “now playing ‘Rock and Roll is King’ by Electric light Orchestra”

And then the song plays.

It hasn’t prevented me from using CarPlay overall, but the issues persist and haven‘T resolved, even though I’ve re-paired the iPhone with the car, gotten the car and IPhone to forget each other, check with different cables to connect the phone and whatever else I could think of. I just never had this happen before I upgraded to 14.5.

Apple today seeded the first public betas of iOS 14.7, iPadOS 14.7, and macOS Big Sur 11.5 to public beta testers, one day after seeding first betas to developers.

Public beta testers who have signed up for the beta testing program can download the iOS and iPadOS‌ 14.7 updates over the air after installing the proper certificate from the Public Beta website on an iOS device. macOS Big Sur 11.5 can be downloaded by going to the "Software Update" section of System Preferences after installing the profile.

iOS 14.7 and macOS Big Sur 11.5 may address bugs and issues that were not able to be included in the iOS 14.6 and macOS Big Sur 11.4 updates, which have yet to be released. There were no new features found in the betas provided to developers.

can i use apple's public beta program with my personal apple ID, and just download the betas on a second phone without possibly causing bugs and whatnot on my daily driver?
