Sorry for the mild off-topic, but I have the same display (I imagine it is the 27UL850 4K HDR400).

I'd like to know what do you think of the colors paired with the m1.
By default it seemed the colours were way too warm and I had to manually change the temperature to "neutral" in the menu.

Also, what do you think of the HDR performance of the display on M1?
I tested it with HDR MKV files and aomw youtube HDR videos.
It doesn't look bad, but it seems there's an everpresent magenta tone, especially in the whites.
Did you experience the same thing?

Thank you very much
Actually mine is the LG 32UN500-W (32") and I use it primarily for day-to-day tasks and my digital photography work. Very little video. I have a Custom setting with most things turned way down, color temp "neutral" etc. I have the HDR turned off as I do not like the look at all when it's on.

Overall I like what I see ... at least until this latest build!! :)

Ken

How much physical RAM do you have and why are you complaining? RAM is supposed to be used, not "saved up"... the more the system uses (smartly) the better.
Here is my MBP 16 after cold boot and Safari, Teams, Outlook, Mail are open:

LOL

I don't know about you but if you think Safari open on Macrumors requires 6GB or RAM, there's nothing for me to really say.

No one is complaining on the usage of RAM if it's actually being used - these RAM complaints is because those who are getting them are not doing anything that requires RAM to actually be used up. I didn't know running Netflix requires 8GB or RAM to use. But sure, it's being used up so I guess it's also normal for Safari to keep refreshing the page when there is no more memory left.

Come on now.

Anybody else having issues with their Control Center quitting? Every time I try to start up/restart my computer I immediately get prompted that my Control Center has quit unexpectedly and I lose all functionality of the notifications/control center and a lot of my items on the top right of the menu bar are missing. Never had this issue before and it started immediately upon installing this release of beta. Thanks.

What's the status of sideloading iOS IPA files on this release? It didn't work in the previous beta.

They're blocked. Both installing them and running ones that are already installed. Responding as I've just installed Beta 4 and I didn't see this covered anywhere else in this topic.

can you explain the "refreshed" pages on Safari? You know some pages actually want themselves refreshed and on "reload" Safari does that...

I have never have a page automatically refresh when I'm using it. Ever. That's not something that I'm entertaining. If I'm watching something on Netflix, the page will reload when memory gets very low. Has never happened to me before the latest version of Big Sur.

They said 2 year transition, this is in line with it.
A 2 year transition to new hardware has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with maintaining backwards compatibility to x64 software for a longer duration. As mentioned previously, Apple had a 2 year road map to transition to Intel hardware but retained support for Rosetta 1 for 6 years.

History does not support your idea at all.

History might not, but the code commit sure does lead that way

I have a whole department with Mac Pros waiting on these drivers so I hope this is true as I am not familiar with this source:

Then everyone that got a $6,000-$40,000 Mac Pro just got slapped in the face.

Absolutely disgusting by Apple.
Seems they are coming in 11.4: https://www.macrumors.com/2021/04/21/apple-releases-macos-big-sur-11-4-to-developers/

I didn't think they would do it and instead put all focus on their own GPUs, but I'm happy I was wrong. :)
