I'm really looking forward to High Sierra, but the soonest I'd ever install it would be when version 10.13.1 comes out. Even when the highly competent Steve Jobs was CEO, new Mac OS releases were quite buggy upon the release. With the highly incompetent Tim Cook as CEO, it's even more important than ever to wait until at least the first bug fix comes out before installing a new OS.

Has anyone tested if Safari can playback 4k in YouTube? I was stunned to learn in current Sierra it cannot. I have to use Chrome.
If you haven’t installed the high Sierra beta and want to continue with Sierra, try installing the safari technology preview.

Safari not using 100% CPU all the time is quite nice. It's quite lovely without the noise :D

hm... "trimforce enable" is not working for me. system profiler states "TRIM Support: No"
DP4, fresh install on an intel SSD connected through Thunderbolt <-> SATA case. the system
is a 2013 Mac Pro. this combo usually works with TRIM...

Does Safari perform better in DP4. I've used DP3 for quite some time now, but Safari was using 100% of CPU power without a lot of tabs open. I don't encounter this bug with the Safari Technology Preview on DP3. I hope this is fixed in DP4.

*Edit*
Used DP4 for a while now, Safari bug is fixed.

Using next to nothing here with 10 tabs open.

Funny.

I upgraded to Sierra only two days ago. My strategy is to upgrade when the next version is (almost) out

I'm on Sierra and it works fine here. Never knew it was an issue.

EDIT
Having read other comments, it does appear that only older 4K content will work due to the newer content using a different codec.

Safari seems to run cooler on my 2016MBP. Ran hot enough for fans to kick on under Beta 3.

Plus, the slew of problems that people will inevitably face when upgrading to a new filesystem, makes this an operating system to stay away from in the early versions. I don't want my data getting silently corrupted behind the scenes due to some as-of-yet undiscovered bug in that shiny new filesystem. I've already seen APFS crash my computer a few times on 10.12.6, which screams to me "stay away", because you have to wonder what else it's doing wrong.

Parallels Desktop and VMware won't run on this build, SIP is rejecting it for some reasons.
