things are getting a bit complicated now

there are no full installers, only ipsws for sequoia beta 4 and sonoma 14.6 rc

the ventura 13.6.8 rc 3 and monterey 12.7.6 rc 5 are so far ota only

i expect that tomorrow there should be maybe only full installer for sequoia beta 4

we might have to wait for public release of the sonoma, ventura and monterey for those full installers

once sonoma reaches rc status they tend to hold off on the full installers till public release. but that won't apply for sequoia.

for vms unfortunately ota updates for betas don't work for older systems. apple is changing that for sequoia only. you can still update them using full installers if available.

For Europeans users, once again, no iPhone mirroring. As the classics said in Latin "Quo usque tandem abutere, Catilina, patientia nostra?" Are these bureaucrats from Luxemburg keep blocking Apple innovations forever and ever?

Is it just me or does every app ask for screen recording (and other) permissions all the time. It's been happening since the first developer beta and I keep expecting it to be fixed >:-(

I am getting locks in playing mp4 in IINA & VLC anyone else, at least they have fixed the VideoToolbox bug which was causing issues with transcoding in Handbrake.

Can we be more precise and say "for EU users"? This European in the UK has it. Everything else about Brexit is ****, so let's not ignore an advantage when we see one.

Good for you! I truly envy you. I would love to get the f***k out of the European Union as well. We–the EU users–paid top dollar for Apple gadgets and in exchange are treated as second class users. That's not fair. Some people thought VPN could work to avoid this issue. However, bank account data and credit cards made it impossible.

Would it really kill Apple to have a 2 year release cycle on its software? And just release bug fixes and security updates through the 2 years?
Probably. It’ll definitely kill a few egos at least. While there’s nothing wrong with rapid development cycles, it certainly favors features over stability and doesn’t make sense in all cases. Operating systems, I think, is one of those cases. 2 years is a perfect sweet spot.

I usually wait until August to begin testing the public beta. I'll give this two more weeks.
