I hope they fix the behavior of the LG 4K monitor vis-à-vis the 2016 15” MacBook Pro. The monitor has problems waking up from sleep and once a week crashes the whole machine. (No problems with crashes or sleep with the monitor turned off.)

Another suppressive release. They killed Handbrake. What next?

You obviously don't understand what Beta means. And if it angers you that third party software doesn't work, revert back to the public final release version available and NEVER install a Beta again. How do you think software developers release software? They get the Beta from Apple, then design their app to work with the OS. How would you expect a developer to develop software on an OS that they don't have access to? Get real.

Anyhow, it's obviously an isolated issue, as my Handbrake works just fine, and you're the ONLY one on here that's say it doesn't work. Every other post says it works fine.

If you can't live without ANY single app working on your computer, DO NOT INSTALL BETAS.

I have reverted iTunes to a slightly older version to allow me to batch change metadata of multiple items. I cannot afford to update and lose my entire iTunes library again because of this f**** iTunes 12.6.100. Hell, I could even recite that version number! The most damn hell iTunes release ever.

Also apparently, there is no way for Mac OS X to completely opt out any sort of OS X upgrade using something similar to group policy in windows. Well...

So, because I modify the version of iTunes, I do not welcome this beta.

Does anyone know upgrading Mac OS X would also upgrade iTunes ?

And why is that?
Sierra was one hell of a stable OS when released, the next one might be the same or better.

I am not complaining nor I am saying anything bad about OS.

It's just that this new Beta testing news is so often these days that since there are many Threads on what will the next MAC OS be called?
And I figured they release so many betas (which is not a bad thing), that they might as well call it Mac OS Beta. :)

Just a lame joke...

I have no issues with Mac os - for me it works smooth.

The release notes of the beta are so boring that I have no interest to install it.
I think at this point Apple is working on iOS 11 and on new MacOS rather than updating current ones
it's the same with most apps nowadays, just sugar coated generic descriptions.. thanks facebook! (daily update)
I rolled back to 10.11.6 since graphical/UI & other glitches on Sierra... more stable now but damn I miss 10.6 etc :apple:

Mac OS 8 and 9 were so much better. What is this garbage OS coming to these days?

Only half joking, unfortunately. Apple File System will be cool, but I want stuff that'll benefit Linux too. Mac OS can't overthrow Windows single–handedly. We're all on the same team here. Too bad Apple doesn't think so.

Hot corners for screensavers stopped working. Dutifully reported to our corporate overlords.

[update] And today it's working...

Honestly have been waiting for this update for so long. It causes an issue with Intel Iris Graphics cards that makes FCPX and Motion 5 crash constantly if you have any plug-ins installed. Hope this provides some insight to what this update entails.

No problem here, but I installed an SSD on both my 2012 systems.
Yeah think it could just be this faulty 650m but it's not giving me kernel panics any more so ha!
Waiting for an eGPU for serious work/play & pricing to go down with the pascal Nvidia cards ;)

The feature I miss most though is definitely 'Spaces' (those boxes that you could shuffle around up & down)
sooo much better than the side by side ones now, getting rid of the Dashboard by default too :'(
The worst though is 'natural scrolling direction' - every f'ckin installation it's the first of the many things that must be unchecked... not just for my installs ^^

oh and Apple, why oh why must we need to boot to recovery, terminal our way to disabling SIP always... brb

There's an alternative for spaces and works well, Totalspaces, but it's not free.

My sound output always gets reset after a beta update, but it's just a few clicks away so no big deal.

I disabled SIP quite a while ago, never have to enable it again, even after all those beta's I had, I hate SIP, I want to decide what I can do with my system, and it breaks certain software which I like to use.

Is there any point in upgrading to Sierra (from El Cap) if I don't care about Siri, icloud and imessage stickers?

guess I'll wait until 10.13... only good things are copy/paste across devices (if one has iOS) & document/app tabs!

TotalSpaces 2 rocks man ;) thanks, precisely why I was disabling SIP (for the 3rd time that day ^^)

Not really clear to me, did you already know about Totalspaces or you've got that from me, if it's the latter then I am happy to help you.:)

Bit of both! Didn't know it, but just before you posted went to google & looked around ^^
Wouldn't buy it unless someone had vouched for it.. most definitely helped ;)

I'm still getting the 'corrupt time machine backup' issue in 10.12.4 release for my backup stored on a 2TB TimeCapsule every few days. Can anyone verify if this is resolved in 10.12.5? It's a serious problem if it renders TimeMachine unusable on Apple hardware surely?!

Interesting… I also had a client see a 'corrupt time machine' backup issue on a 1st gen 5K iMac… right after the 10.12.4 update. I didn't think much of it at the time, it backs up to a FreeNAS (on a ZFS mirror, so I doubted it was server site), but now that you say this is "an issue", I'm betting it was the same. Only 1 of 3 machines, the iMac, the newest of them, saw the issue. Hmmmmmmmm. Pretty terrible when Apple is corrupting backups. Just devastatingly bad PR. (Or SHOULD be.)
