As someone who also owns a gear S3, I can tell you that most App Store Watch Face are absolutely terrible. They are either poorly optimized ripoffs of famous designs (as you mentioned) or generally terrible original creations.

However, after you filter through the crap, you do find a few a few good faces.

On the Apple Watch, there is no reason one face can’t just be a grid of apps. The time written out in words, and complications that are location or time date influenced would be cool too.

The fact that someone owns a different watch doesn't make their subjective beliefs more valid, so not sure what the relevance of your S3 ownership is.

His point wasn't that this made his beliefs more valid; it was that he had experienced a watch face store and therefore could offer a relevant anecdote based on that experience.

Lower resolution images are less visually appealing than higher resolution watches.

I didn’t think that was subjective, but I guess my relevance is sharing that most of their watch face store consists of these poorly designed and optimized faces.

I own a lot of smart watches. Multiple Apple ones, Samsung, Android, and Fit Bit watches. So one might say that my experience in this category makes my subjective beliefs informative.

My blood sugar is low, so I really want to be sarcastic. I won’t be. Instead, I’ll simply remind you that there are nicer ways to ask how someone came to a particular conclusion.
