Doesnt work for me
Doesn't work for me either Installation of the profile fails stating "Could Not Connect to Apple Watch" "Make sure your Apple Watch is nearby, powered on, and not in Airplane Mode." Of course my Apple watch has always been nearby, powered on, and not in Airplane Mode. So I have no idea how to proceed. Apple is surely no help as they will only give you the standard procedure which does not work.

I am connected to the internet and the same WIFI because I can download the profile I just can't install it.

Got it working thanks to a reddit post...

  1. Remove profile

  2. Restart Watch

  3. Install profile again

  4. Restart watch again

  5. Check for new watchOS
Done
Thank you for this! Worked on the 101st try.

Guys, make sure you do NOT restart your iPhone when following the above steps. And also, make sure to have your Watch on your wrist and unlocked.

When I install the profile on my watch is shows that I have 2 profiles when I am in Settings > General but once I actually go into profiles I only see one. I have tried removing and reinstalling but I still cant get the update.

I find it rather funny that you, in bold and red font, say to not restart while on Reddit there’s somebody claiming just as determined to do restart the phone. Either way, it doesn’t work for me, still getting the error message.

There’s nothing funny about it.

It’s in bold red because that’s exactly what I was doing 100 times: restart both phone and watch, and it failed 100 times.

On the 101st try, I restarted only the watch, and NOT the phone, and guess what: it worked!

Mine says I am up to date even though I know I am not LOL
[doublepost=1563393862][/doublepost]My watch gives me a message that says:

Update Unavailable with this Apple ID.
This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.

I've had the same error since beta 3 and it's still there for beta 4 - by any chance do you have apps on your phone from different country app stores as I do and am wondering if that is the issue (although wasn't an issue until beta 3).

I went through the process suggested by reddit and was able to update after that, but not without tapping retry on the error message numerous times. I have a feeling the delete restart thing had nothing to do with it and it was simply a matter of hitting retry until it works.

Literally on what seemed to be my 116th try following the Reddit directions it finally worked. Something is inherently wrong with this process that needs to be fixed by Apple. I have a Series 3 so it’s not like I am trying to update a very old model.

I know what you mean. If I was Apple, I would have marked this version as beta and tell the general public not to use it until they're happy its all working correctly. I wish they had done that

LOL, I get what you are saying, but even a Beta should not be this difficult to load.:)

I still keep getting “Unable to check for update” error. Reinstalled the profile numerous times. Profile installed directly from the Apple dev portal (Enterprise account)

thoughts? I see not everyone is getting the same error.

Do you need iOS 13 beta 4 in order for watchOS 6 beta 4 to work or will the watch beta work with the public beta (which I assume is still beta 3)?

I have the same exact error, done all the tricks suggested too

That is the same error that I was getting initially, albeit in Spanish.

After I deleted the profile, I started getting a different error trying to reinstall the beta profile. But that error eventually just passed and the update appeared.

Those of you still getting the error, which beta are you running on your phone? I saw somewhere that you had to be running iOS 13 beta 4 before you could get the watchOS 6 beta 4, I'm trying to figure out if this is true or just more speculation.

I’m running the newest iOS beta4 (17A5534f)

I did this successfully to 2 different apple watches ...what I did was:

  1. Remove profile

  2. Restart Watch

  3. Install profile again

  4. Restart watch again
and then again:
  1. Remove profile

  2. Restart Watch

  3. Install profile again

  4. Restart watch again

  5. Check for new watchOS

I found the critical steps are the two watch reboots:
  1. after deleting the profile, and
  2. after reinstalling the profile
Only then, after the second reboot, should you check for an update.

Failing to do both reboots results in an update failure.

I didn't change anything since my last post and it's finally working after randomly checking for updates today.
