CTA is ch? I'd think it would be 7.4.... Same weird issue with the macOS graphic...

CTA "cOS"
I think you're being a bit pedantic here. It's an interesting design. Perfectly legible and communicates what it's meant to communicate.

just use the watch if it’s on your wrist so much easier
This is exactly as it’s designed, a usability unlock of iphone rather than secure unlock. Passwords still required to access anything securely managed on the iPhone, otherwise if you your phone was acquired by a malicious actor (s)he could use to access payments, banking settings etc.

With the latest BETA my Apple Watch Series 6 seems to refuse to automatically unlock my Mac mini with Apple M1, and it's not working for unlocking 1Password either.

Battery is draining as hell
2 hrs of walking workout = 10% left

UPD:
After reboot workout shows 0 calories, 0 meters etc

don’t update!

Which model? And how was the battery life under the same load prior to the update? Mine seems ok, but I use the workout logging indoors even if I’m outdoors. GPS tracking drains battery as hell.

AW 4
It was good on previous beta but this new one literally destroyed the stability. I hope that it’s just a single issue.
I’m looking forward to reset my AW and restore it.

UPD
Issue solved after re-pairing.

UPD2
Problem reappeared during next workout

Go into security settings and deselect unlock with Apple Watch, then re-select it. I don’t know why this works but it does. Otherwise it either won’t unlock or you get this BS about the wireless signal being too weak.

Mine does not appear to be fixed, stand is not registering this hour (20:14 GMT).
Yep, it’s not fixed. Many times during the day it halts stand / motion tracking where I have to restart both the phone and the watch to get it back up and working. Albeit calories are also still miscalculated for walking workouts.

Also worth noting that when it stops detecting standing it also stops unlocking iPhone with the mask on.

Apple today seeded the fourth beta of an upcoming watchOS 7.4 update to developers for testing purposes, with the new beta coming two weeks release of the third beta and over a month after the launch of watchOS 7.3 with "Time to Walk" functionality, expanded ECG availability, and a new Unity watch face.

To install the ‌watchOS 7.4 beta, developers need to download the proper configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center. Once the profile is in place, the watchOS 7.4 beta can be downloaded through the dedicated ‌Apple Watch‌ app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update.

To update to the new software, the ‌Apple Watch‌ needs to have 50 percent battery life, it must be placed on the charger, and it must be in range of the ‌‌‌‌‌‌iPhone‌‌‌‌‌‌.

Alongside iOS 14.5, watchOS 7.4 introduces a new "Unlock with Apple Watch" feature that lets an iPhone with Face ID use an unlocked and authenticated Apple Watch as a secondary authentication measure when you're wearing a mask, alleviating the need to enter a passcode to unlock the iPhone.

Face ID does not work when wearing a mask, but this new Apple Watch feature provides an easy but still secure way to access the iPhone without the hassle of a passcode. It's similar to the Apple Watch unlocking on Mac and can be enabled in the Settings app under Face ID & Passcode.

An unlocked Apple Watch paired with Face ID can unlock the iPhone when a mask is worn, but it's only for mask usage. The Apple Watch cannot be used to authenticate Apple Pay or App Store purchases, nor can it be used to unlock apps that require a Face ID scan. In these situations, the mask will need to be removed or a passcode/password will need to be used instead.

When the Apple Watch unlocks the iPhone, you'll feel a haptic tap on the wrist and will receive a notification on the watch, similar to how it works when using the watch to unlock a Mac.

For those who use Apple Fitness+, the watchOS 7.4 update combined with iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 enables AirPlay 2 for Apple Fitness+, so workouts can be streamed to an AirPlay 2-enabled TV or set-top box. Apple Watch metrics do not show up on the screen when AirPlayed, however, and that feature is limited to iPhone/iPad/Apple TV.

Apple has said that watchOS 7.4 will be released in the early spring, with spring set to start on March 20, so there are still a few weeks of beta testing expected.

Yep same here normally uses about 12% overnight but used over 20% past few days

Looking like Beta 5 has resolved many of the issues related to the sensors. My sleep data for last night following the update is back on track. About to take my early morning walk and feel sure it’s going to be recorded accurately for the first time in a couple of weeks

Mine’s all fixed. Activity tracking works, sleep recording is now not recording me as sleeping during the day when I was moving. Battery life excellent too. I was on two charges a day on the previous BETA, i had a full charge at 9pm Tuesday evening, put on charge at 7pm yesterday(Wednesday) at 27%.
