I think that's unlikely as if anything goes wrong, there's literally no way to restore the software on the Watch. I'm reading the developer documentation and it even warns that if anything goes wrong installing the beta, it will have to be sent to an Apple repair centre.

Thats good to know, I am now getting notifications on both watch and phone but only for imessage it seems...I am debating going back to 9.3 b3 but dont know if I want to spend the time doing it, may just deal with the bug hoping it gets fixed soon...

Yep, watch issues here, also. I should have read the comments first.

At first, no notifications to the watch at all. After some reboots, I get notifications on both the watch and phone. (There are times when I would like this setup, but not all the time.)
I've had the exact same experience.

Having the same issue with no notifications on WatchOS 2.1 and reboot of both devices doesn't help. Seems like a pretty big oversight...

There is a fix for the watch notification issues, but you do need a developer account or access to the wOS beta.

If you 'upgrade' to wOS 2.2 beta, then backup, unpair and re-pair the watch, the issue seems to be fixed. Good luck...

I hope they give your Pencil navigation back. I played with on in an Apple Store and was fascinated by its operation but, not being an artist, I could never justify buying one.

I'm neither an artist. Not even aspiring. But I do use it daily for makeing notes and calculations, annotating lots of PDFs and even marking word docs. But also reading 1500 pages a month for my study.

But according to the verge they are going to give it back in the next beta! And I don't mind it lacking in the betas, I can (and did) revert back to 9.2.1 it's just that it would be really missed if it wouldn't be in the gm

With the photo app, now you can double tap to zoom and then expand to super zoom in for more details. Before it was just the double tap and if you try to zoom more it bounces back.

Just a heads up if you're an Apple Watch owner, I (and many others on the developer forums) are experiencing a few issues with notifications - things not showing on the watch, both the watch and phone buzzing, etc.

Even being on the wOS beta doesn't help. You may want to hold off until beta 5/GM if it's working OK for you now.

No issues with notifications on either the phone or the Apple watch as was mentioned in an earlier post.

I'm getting iMessage notifications on both Watch and Phone, (watch alerts me first, then a few seconds later the phone chimes up!).
Guess I'm waiting for a fix then.

I'm going to be the first to bring this up. Lol. I know it's so overly talked about but I'm hoping, eventually, my iPhone 6 Plus gets 9.2 battery life back. I could go 11 hours of usage until I have to charge. Now I can barely get to 8 and it's kind of annoying.

Note: I'm not doing anything different on my phone. Same apps, same thing, same way.
Just a small check; did you have location services enabled before the update, what abaout now? I know tha an update silentky turned on location services for me once

Location services were enabled then and they are enabled now.

I really hope they improve battery life when using the Music app. Ever since they released the new Music app, it's been a huge power drain for me, whether using the Apple Music service or not (was on the free trial, but didn't renew after that.) Beta 4 does seem to have slightly better battery life overall, although I've only had it for a day so I can't be sure. And yes, thankfully the time not showing up on the home screen after unlocking has mostly been fixed, although occasionally it'll flicker for a second just after waking to the home screen. It was so annoying having to wait anywhere from 5-15+ seconds for the time to show up, or trigger it by opening an app.

Overall I've been quite happy with the 9.3 betas though. The new way of rating songs in the Music app took some getting used to, but I think this way is actually better, and it's nice to be able to go directly to the album of the song I'm listening to by touching the song title.

I, too, am being affected with watch notifications being affected. Mail isn't working at all, and messages give haptic feedback on the watch and then come through on the iPhone.

Maybe this is just placebo, but Apple Music is sounding better to me on this beta. It sounded like it was perpetually on the lower quality cell service bitrate on beta 3.

I read this comment the other evening thinking that this couldn't be possible. But today on my way to work I could clearly tell that the same album I've been listening to for the las week sounded much more clear since updating. However, I'm listening via Bluetooth and not sure how much Bluetooth degrades audio quality.

I was thinking that it might be something to do with Bluetooth. I use Bluetooth in my car and with headphones. My headphones support AAC, so they should be able to stream an Apple Music file directly. I got a reply to my ticket in the Feedback assistant that some bluetooth issues were resolved with bluetooth switching and they wanted me to confirm that it was working, so I thought that it might be related. (the issue was something else, but under the subject of Bluetooth)

The previous week I thought that the iPhone music just sounded muffled, but after the beta 4 update, a lot of music has been sounding better. Happy to hear that someone else noticed the improvement as well!

For those of you having notification issues, try resetting your watch (no need to un-pair and re-pair it). I did that and everything has been working fine. I get iMessage, email and other app notifications just fine.
