Apple today seeded the fourth beta of an upcoming macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 update to developers, less than one week after seeding the third beta and just over two weeks after releasing the macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 update.

The new macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 beta can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center or through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store with the proper profile installed.

It's not yet clear what improvements the second major update to macOS High Sierra will bring, but it's likely to include bug fixes and performance improvements for issues that weren't addressed in macOS High Sierra 10.13.1.

No significant new features were discovered in the first three betas of macOS High Sierra 10.13.2, but we'll update this post should notable changes be found in the fourth beta.

The previous update, 10.13.1, introduced fixes for some serious security flaws and brought new emoji to the macOS operating system.

Update: Apple has also made the fourth macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 beta available for public beta testers.

[doublepost=1510926584][/doublepost]Perhaps more Emojs were omitted and they are going to include more...just what I was pray for.....who cares that Apple mail is screwed up?

Long story VERY shortened. Beta 3 completely bricked my 2011 mini, the story is posted here somewhere. Restored back to 10.13.1. The 10.13.2 betas started showing up in the app store. They showed up, in order, as beta 1, beta 2, then beta 4 completely skipping Beta 3 which was death to my mini.

Beta 4 installed no fuss no muss.

Still not fixed the WiFi issue thats been around since the full release

Wifi issues were rampant in Yosemite, since then there are few if any people with those issues, maybe the following will fix your Wifi problems.

1. Go to /Library/Preferences/
2. Find the Systemconfiguration Folder
3. Copy that one to your Desktop
4. Delete the /Library/Preferences/Systemconfiguration Folder
5. Restart

*Keep in mind that all your Network Preferences are reset this way, you have to connect and input your login credentials to each network you connect to

** If this didn't work you can delete the newly created /Library/Preferences/Systemconfiguration and drag the original Folder which you copied onto your Desktop back to where it was, if you then restart again all your settings will be back.

Good luck.

I'm so glad I decided not to install High Sierra until the final update is released some time mid-2018.

High Sierra is rock solid for most of us, there will always be some problems for some people.

Here's what I've noticed has changed since beta 3
• At some point High Sierra broke the ability to airplay to my bluetooth speaker (now fixed in beta 4)
• Some macOS Server features integrated into macOS such as content caching

What's still broken for me
• Cannot airplay my iMac screen to my ATV 4, I get a black screen (worked perfectly in Sierra)

This stuff was moved into the base OS with 10.13. Was it not working with 10.13.2 Beta 3?

The WIFI issue will NEVER be fixed. I've learned to live with that and found other options. Apple will just say, "You have an unsupported machine" even though it's more powerful than our NEW Mac Mini which you should buy. Sorry. Or a NEW MAC PRO, that nobody wants! LMAO

MAIL is still broken as if that's not a running joke. Do you really have to lose all your old emails & server settings with every update? I still haven't found a way to fix some of them without deleting all my old emails.

Preview still won't open pics or it takes 2 1/2 minutes for them to load.

How can Apple BREAK so many things with a simple scheduled update release?

This is just insane! :(

Strange, no WIFI or MAIL probs here.
All of my old saved emails are still there after every update.
Gmail settings all there after every update.

using macs since 10 years never had this kind of issues you mention. i don't want to say there are no issues there are plenty of them.

You probably don't have a Mac Pro

Well, i have a Macbook Pro. A mid 2012 model to be precise.
No, i don't have a dozen emailaccounts to manage. No need for that.
But i do really not see what that has to do with it.
With one email account you're all o.k. and with multiple accounts all of a sudden you're in serious trouble?
When your settings or saved emails are gone they are gone i would say, no matter if it is one account or multiple ones.
Especially when the Mail app seems to be the only culprit here.

Everyone - this thread is about the Mac OS 10.12 Sierra latest security update beta - people are tossing in High Sierra 10.13 issues, and other stuff a SECURITY UPDATE would never address. Please don't make a mess out of a forum thread - find the proper topic to post under. Thanks.

No, this thread is about the High Sierra 10.13.2 beta update, not a security update for Sierra.

Oh, well. Thanks for taking time to read the title of the thread :)

Any idea when the final 10.13.2 build would be released?

I have a guess that they're wanting to get things sorted out before Christmas rolls around which at that point I'm sure Apple will probably have a skeleton staff. I wonder to what extent the delay is due to getting security nailed down.

You're joking right?

Why would I want to pause my music in order to watch a youtube video?

Sorry to point out the bloody obvious but so that you can hear the video clearly and not have something distracting playing in the background.

Congratulations, you clearly failed at reading my previous post. I was making a statement, not asking a literal question. -__-
