What are the chances of the public release being identical to this? I’m on holiday at the minute and might wait until I can do an iTunes update to flush all previous beta data so don’t want to install the GM OTA if I won’t get the opportunity to update it again anytime soon.

plz say they have a new final one on launch this one is same as beta 10 no where near smooth

Will Airplay 2 play nice with Airport Expresses? Do we know anything new since the June announcement guesswork?

I got confused, are there two versions of iOS 11? One for regular iPhone 8 and earlier and one for iPhone X?
Will the UI be different between them?

Apple are signing iOS 11 GM again. Anyone that still has the leaked ISPW can now install it.

Interestingly I made this comment on Reddit and it was ‘moderated’

why is the apps update history still messed up on gm and not showing when the apps were updated correctly

Sorry upfront if this is a stupid question but I'm on the public beta and am wondering if the beta profile will automatically go away after the gmail release? I downloaded today's release and I still have the public beta profile in settings under general. Thanks!

Nope, they're nearly the same. Performance improvements (or restoring it) won't come until 11.2 or 11.3 updates later in the Spring, just like the past two or three iOS major upgrades.

Same iOS for all devices, just extra code for specific models.

iPhone X isn't coming out until Nov, so most likely will ship with a future update of iOS 11, likely iOS 11.1 will be released around the same timeframe.

There is only one iOS version for all devices, they just have different code that runs when detecting the model number. Same thing happens to Mac, they get shipped with their own macOS version until a future macOS update comes to merge them into the same version for all models.
