If you are on Beta 12, you will notice Beta 12 and GM share the same build, with the exception of Beta 12 having an "a" at the end. As such, GM is Beta 12, and if you are running Beta 12, you will not see an update, since you're running the same version of iOS 12 already.

Incorrect. I am running beta 12 and I have an update. The GM removes a the feedback app as well as some other background stuff. Beta 12 is NOT the GM

Except you were wrong.

Let me clarify, as I was speaking to build changes which would mean actual software code changes.

The build number is identical from beta 12 to GM. Yes, the update will show up as a full iOS 12 "final" IPSW for OTA, but besides re-imaging your device with iOS 12, there is absolutely no changes to the build. It will also hide the "feedback app".

Mine is stuck on "estimating time remaining"
for like 4 min
I guess the servers are getting hit right now as mine is downloading but at a snail's pace.

Guys, if you all could stop you downloads for about an hour that would be really swell. Thanks!
LOL! I was about to say the same thing!

.There is no excuse to show up with another fu..... iPhone and other toys. The mac lineup is devastating and it is the personal failure of the failing CEO that there are no new macs.

Shame on you.

And:

Steve would have never allowed this.

Good grief. No excuse? Apple has always been about the $$$$ and the iPhone brings that in WAY more than the Mini. Not only would Steve have allowed this, he would have canned the Mini without a moment's thought.

If you were looking for an earth mother type of company that loved you and cared about what you wanted then you came to the wrong place.

Can anyone confirm if Public Beta 10 is the same as the GM release?

Was wondering the same thing as I was interested in updating one of my other devices that was not involved in the developer or public betas.

I am guessing it is not but...

When I installed the iOS 12 public beta profile on an iOS 11.x device today it wants to install Public Beta 10. So either the GM really isn't available to public beta testers yet OR it is a two step process and I have to get to Public Beta 10 before I can upgrade to the GM. I will find out soon enough.

I had public beta 10 on my X, now downloading the GM. If that helps.

It does!

Almost one installing PB 10 myself. Looks like it will be a two step process then.

Thanks!

EDIT: Confirmed...you have to go iOS 11.x > PB 10 > iOS 12 GM (downloading along with the masses)
