Apple today provided developers and public beta testers with the release candidate versions of upcoming iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, tvOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1 updates for testing purposes. The RCs betas come a week after Apple released the fourth betas.

The new betas can be downloaded from the Settings app on a compatible device by going to General > Software Update.

Apple Intelligence is now available in more languages in the updates, including Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese. AirPods Live Translation also works with Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Chinese (both Mandarin Traditional and Simplified) in iOS 26.1.

There's a toggle to adjust the opacity of Liquid Glass, the Lock Screen Camera swipe can be disabled, and there are visual changes to Calendar, Safari, Apple Music, and Photos. Details on everything new in iOS 26.1 so far can be found in our iOS 26.1 feature list.

The iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, tvOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1 software will be released in early November.

I'm not sure if you're just asking to ask but you've been on the forums long enough to know that RCs have a newer build than the betas before it. And that public release is some time in the week after the RC release.
I've had stressful day and took a med that makes me very slow, if you wanna know everything

The fact iOS 26.1 RC is out means there will be NO iOS 26.0.2 unless an intermediate fix has to be pushed out by tomorrow at latest. Be aware Apple could push out another RC by this Friday if bugs in the RC are identified.

I do not know, whether it "usually" does not differ from the previous beta. But in this case I can confirm, that the RC is in fact the Beta 4.

Isn’t beta 4 different from this RC? They are not the same.

Apple Intelligence in more languages.

You poor, poor people who'll now get dark patterned into turning on these worthless features so Cook can sell you an Apple Intelligence PLUS subscription next year.

Lord, give some fix cuz this iOS BinLagin hard since day 1… half of the things is broken here. I dont know how you guys test this software… or maybe it’s because they hired some cheaper developers in Apple…

iOS 26.1 seems to have finally sorted the weird banding issue across widgets. It's possible it's just masked with the new gradient of course, but it at least appears to be gone.
