Apple today seeded the release candidate versions of upcoming iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 updates to developers and public beta testers, with the software coming two weeks after Apple seeded the third betas. The release candidates represent the final versions of iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 that will be provided to the public if no further bugs are found during this final week of testing.

Registered developers and public beta testers can download the betas from the Settings app on the iPhone or iPad by going to the General section and selecting Software Update.

iOS 26.2 has a Liquid Glass slider on the Lock Screen to adjust the transparency of the clock, plus it brings AirPods Live Translation to the European Union. The Reminders app now supports alarms for when tasks are due, and there are updates to the Podcasts and Apple News apps. Menu animations have been revamped, and CarPlay supports disabling pinned messages in the Messages app.

We have a full list of all the features available in iOS 26.2 in our guide.

iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 will likely see a launch next week.

Wooo, it’s time to leave OS 26.2 in the dust. It’s OLD NEWS. Everybody is getting stoked for OS 26.4, with the ALL NEW Siri. For the first time ever, Siri will feature on-screen awareness, taking Apple
Intelligence to a whole new level. And Apple did stop there. Siri will now FULL personalization, a true game changer for more seamless and powerful automation. OS 26.4 is truly the purest expression of OS 26, built for ultra pros. Apple can’t wait to see the incredible things customers are able to do with OS 26.4. Apple thinks you’re gonna love it.

One more thing…. Stay tuned for the next leap forward of refinement: OS 26.5!

That’s how it is intended with newer releases :)
Yes that is *hopefully* how it works - but we all know that is not always the case.
(so many people claiming they went back to 18 because 26 botched their phone etc.)

Knowing that this is rc not beta 4 that makes me think ios 26.2 is gonna be BAD. Its not good when theres only 3 betas
Kind of a negative way of looking at things. If it only needed 3 betas, then it could be running pretty well. Seems to be working pretty well on people's phones who already installed it.

It would have had a beta 4 if they felt like releasing one last week. They just skipped a week for whatever reason.
NO NOT TRUE, they didnt skip releasing one last week "for whatever reason". They skipped last week because it was Thanksgiving in AMERICA. Just like they wont release a beta or any update to the public the week of christmas.

Nope not true, people are already saying that the bugs they had on beta 3 are still there and not fixed. They said this rc only fixed background things.
