Have they fixed the on-screen keyboard yet, or does it still only show you the first letter you type and then you are typing blind?

The most annoying bug I've been dealing with is repeated login failures that did not occur previously in iOS 18 -- but that may be my own fault, as I haven't tried to retrain FaceID detection even once during the entire public beta period. I'm downloading this latest update now; if the issue is still there when I test it out shortly, I'll go ahead and retrain.

Installed and the glitches are still there. Can’t believe this is a RC.

Yes there are bugs from first beta not fixed.

Keyboard (Portuguese) keys becomes broken on iPhone apps running on iPad. Key accents related.

There is an overlap of icons in Safari, on the iPad.

iPadOS is asking every time to allow pasting between apps.

Sometimes iPad rotation broken, have to restart.

Sometimes some keyboard key’s disappear (hidden?).

…and more…

Still can't even do something simple like screenshot. It either doesn't show up or freezes the whole phone. Massive W for ios2shi(x)ts

To be fair most of the bugs were worked out during the first round of betas, and there wasn’t that many to begin with since PB1.
I also recommend a factory reset after a big update like this, to minimize the possibility of any bugs or performance issues due to old configuration files or system files. maybe I'm old fashioned but that always works best for me.

Are you trying to do this right after updating? Give it a few hours as everything gets “put into place” and then it’ll perform as good as 18 did. At least it did for me.

Watch for the possibility that Apple may release another RC build of iOS/iPadOS 26 by Friday.
They better release rc 2 because rumor has it that in this current rc theres a new hello screen where you have RE ENTER ALL OF YOUR WIFI. AS IF U BOUGHT A NEW PHONE. Others have said it didnt happen on their phones so im wondering if its only happening on newer phones or something

Installed and couldn't use my phone until I connected to WiFi. Bit odd. Don’t remember that from previous RCs
Yup apparently theres a new hello screen and it makes you RE ENTER WIFI which is kinda lame if u ask me. Thats like what happens when u buy a new phone set it up. To think we were told theyd be saving all of our wifis with the new ios. Guess not.

DIdn’t do that for me. I upgraded form 18.6.2 or whatever the latest 18 was.

wow, “Continue Watching” is now completely useless. On my iPhone it no longer indicates which episodes of a series have been watched. Pressing the 3 little dots allows me to “mark as watched” if I haven’t seen the episode. If I have seen the episode, that option isn’t there, but there’s no other indication. In my Continue Watching list, no actual episodes are listed, just the show tile and “in your watchlist”. Thanks Apple, I can see that.

I guess I need a new way to track my TV viewing.

I’d gone out with the phone while it was updating, and didn’t have access to WiFi. So I couldn’t use the phone til I found a functioning WiFi network. It did remember my WiFi credentials, but this is a phone, a mobile device and it was actively restricting me from using it. Really odd. Maybe it’s some kind of security feature,…

I had the same problem (iPhone asked me for the code instead of facial recognition). With the PB6 I redid the facial recognition, and the problem almost disappeared... give it a try ;)

Installed iPadOS 26 RC yesterday (or maybe the day before) on my A12Z Pro and been using it quite a bit the last 2 days. Is it me or is it quite buggy still? There’s a few apps where I can’t go back because the top LH corner clock gets in the way of the apps back button (something I’ve never noticed occur on any iPad apps before 26). Was the clock always there? I can’t remember now.

Also, a number of times my (genuine) Magic Keyboard trackpad 2-finger scroll has become unresponsive although the touchscreen works. I’ve had to shut it down and turn on again to get it back. Also 3-finger up expose seems a be flakey too - sometimes fine, sometimes starts to show them but won’t actually pop the apps up.

There’s a lot I like about iPadOS 26, but if this is a Release Candidate it seems definitely on the beta side still. Anyone else getting similar or is this just me, or more particular to this model?

Also, in window mode, why can I drag my windows to each side on my Mac and it pops to half split screen, but there’s seemingly no equivalent in iPadOS. I have to hover over the green traffic light button then click the left or right icon. Supposedly there’s a flick gesture, but I’ll be damned if I can make that work (at least with the trackpad, which is most of the reason I’d be using windowed mode). It’s almost like they had a great brainstorming meeting, worked out how to make windowing work really well for iPad and more similar to the Mac, but then had to rush off to another meeting and never quite refined the plan. Or maybe it all works great for everyone else and I’m missing something?

I can’t speak to what you’re seeing in iPadOS 26 but before that the clock has been in the upper left corner for as long as I can remember. 🤷‍♂️
After looking again I think it's not there in full screen apps, but is windowed or the home screen. But now I can't remember what my usage scenario was when I was complaining. I thought I was using stuff full screen then too. 🤷‍♂️
