iOS 7b3 - UIAlert with text field in Safari

We have an iPad app that we distribute internally via Safari.

The Install button pops up an alertview with text fields where users will enter their login credentials.

With iOS 7b3 the alertview disappears the moment i enter the username and tap over to the password field. I just cannot install our app using our internal system via Safari.

Safari has crashed so many times since b2 it's not even funny. I understand these are beta versions. I also understand third party apps crashing with a new OS. But Safari? IMO iOS 7 was 'rushed' - very un-Apple like.

Anybody know a fix to the alertview disappearing on Safari?

I think you are forgetting that this is a beta. Nobody says that this beta can or should be used on a productive device. If you have issues, then go back to iOS 6, file a bug report for the issue you are having and if you have a development device, install the beta there..

Does anyone know if you can change the Font color of the icons when seeing the home screen to something other than white? My BG is white and I can read the time, carrier or battery life now.

iPhone 5 Beta 3

Overall, I have to say beta3 is a improvement over beta 2 so far. I'm running it on a 4S and for now it is working smoother and slightly swifter than b2 (otho i have to admit, that problems in b2 started to pile up after a couple of days of use).

One thing that left quite the bad aftertaste already though was the fact that I had to reset my 4S twice already (power+home keys for ~8 seconds) after I had locked it using the powerbutton after normal use. It just wouldnt react on any normal wakeup action (i.e. single home- or power-button push) anymore.

I'll of course report it to apple when i find a proper pattern, which i haven't yet.

Anyone seen this too?

Does safari on iOS still show open tabs from other iDevices and your OS X computers?

Mine used to in DP2, but seems to have stopped doing this in DP3.

Turned off and turned on the iCloud Safari syncing and this restored this.

Dunno if you guys noticed it, but here's another way to see the clock in the lockscreen with iPod playing. Now the small clock is back in the lockscreen in the status bar when iPod is playing.

Now try pressing the home button once, the iPod controls will switch to become the familiar big digital clock with day and date, but album artwork will stay. Press home button once again and the iPod controls are back.

One of the things that I'm most excited about in iOS 7 is that the speed up of the App Store. That thing was slow as a *** in iOS 6.

Active iPhone?

I've noticed that if I put my phone in my pocket unlocked, the screen is much more sensitive than it was previously. Could that even be a software issue? I'd never been locked out of my phone before iOS 7 from pocket-misdialing my PIN.

Last night I think this is what happened. I came home from walking my dog and took my phone out of my pocket and it was in the middle of the restore process. The phone prompted me to pick a WiFi network to active my iPhone. (15 mins earlier it was fine.) I was annoyed but went through with it except it didn't work. I was an error message saying the Phone couldn't be activated.

So, I plugged it into iTunes. iTunes saw the phone, and my backups but wouldn't restore to any of them. It also wouldn't restore to factory settings, nor could it see my apps. I am taking it to the Apple Store this afternoon.

Beta 1 was sloppy. Beta 2 was a nice improvement. When I tried to upgrade to Beta 3 (over the air) my phone had to be completely restored (I think that was the beginning of this problem.) I restored it and re-installed iOS 7 and it has been a mess since. Apps constantly crash, as does the phone itself. I thought maybe I was still running Beta 1, but when I try to upgrade I see the iOS 7 is up to date screen.

Beta issues aside, I don't hate the new iOS. I think it has potential, but the iPhone still seems to be pretty far behind Android. At one point I never would have dreamt of switching, but I probably will.

fixes that must be done in ios7b3 (iphone 4s):
1. when unlock screen, sometimes it took a second to load home (showed blurred white screen).
2. when setting the wallpaper, then lock and unlock to test the lockscreen, most of the time the setting crashes and go back to home.
3. the front camera sometimes lag or stuck with blurred white on the screen
4. when try to download, the download sometimes failed. have to download several times to successfully download it.
5. there are bugs, like suddenly the 3g is on,sometimes the bluetooth is on even when i switch it off. have to go to setting back to on and off when this happened.
6. the battery drains faster compared to ios 6.1.3 even when not in use
7. once it goes to DFU mode when in pocket. have to press start+home button
8. the icon is a bit big for me. in my opinion, smaller icon loads faster.

overall ios7 is a big improvement for apple. keep up the good work.

"BTW Sprint 3G and 4G networks suck don't go with them"

I have Sprint and get A Very Fast 4G LTE Connection in Zip Code 60102 (Algonquin, IL), Reason: A Sprint Cell Phone Tower that recently received 2 Data Speed Upgrades is very close to my house. I can in fact download the Beta's on to my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 using the Cell Phone's Standard Android Mobile Web Browser using 4G LTE and then transfer the .DMG File on to my Computer using the USB Cable that came with the Cell Phone. I then find a Free WIFI Hotspot like Starbucks and Install the Beta. Just FYI.

Well i'm on AT&T and I got it. Don't know what's your carrier but I know AT&T & T-Mobile good

The 4G indicator means you are connected to HSPA+/UMTS.

If you are really connected to LTE on an IPhone 5 it WILL say LTE NOT 4G!

P.S. Keep in mind you need to own an IPhone 5 to get 4G LTE. All the IPhone 4S will get is HSPA+/UMTS on ATT/T-Mobile, and then all it will get is 3G on Sprint/Verizon Wireless.

Why you telling me this as my primary device my AT&T iPhone 5 with LTE and I know this about the 4S cause I had one so why you telling me this and what does this have to do with iOS 7 Beta 3. My reply was about beta 3 to someone saying that they changed LTE to 4G in beta 3... So... where you come from?

I may have replied to the wrong person, it does happen sometimes.
