iOS 7 is so futuristic and sleek. Any issues will be addressed in iOS 7.1 or 7.2, but I recommend the upgrade.

Just like all the issues that were in betas were supposed to be fixed in the GM, right? ;)

So with one of the iphone 5 model is the verizon version again? I have been doing the OTA updates and only download the beta 1 seed. Thanks in advance:)

I updated my 4S on iTunes 11.0.5 for Mac using UPDATE with the ISPW. Some people said this wasn't recommended. Why? It updated fine and nothing is missing from the iphone after the update. Granted I can't sync my phone to itunes without the 11.1 Beta, but I dont really have any need to. At least not before the public release.

Also, on the 18th, can I upgrade from the GM to the public release OTA or in iTunes?

I am thrilled to have one of my photographs included in the new wallpaper images! It's the black and white image of Tenaya Lake with the granite ridges and clouds.

Hope youre getting compensated for the use of your photo. lol

Anyone else disappointed that keyboard clicks and the lock-screen sound weren't fortunate enough to be updated?

I think these two were among my top most-wanted sound refreshes

I was hoping to be able to change the default notification sound.

I did the exact same thing on 2 phones and it has been smooth sailing (outside of needing to wait for iTunes 11.1, but that's no big deal.)

AFAIK the GM is identical to the public release, so no updating will be necessary.

So Twitter & Facebook integration are completely out of the notification centre? I really found that useful.

Also is there is reason why Apple won't add the kill all apps feature in multi-tasking? It gets really tedious.

Yup, those are gone from Notification Center.

There's no need to kill all apps given Apple's implementation of how apps work in the background, which is most likely why there's no option for that.

Sorry, but cannot help laughing at the 'paid developers' who paid the money to access the iphone ios a week early, an ios that is free.
And then ask questions on how to install it!
Apple needs to tighten it's requirements for developers, it's nonsense people who don't 'develop', getting hold of beta and gm releases before they are 'live'.

They moan about it not working, or don't know how it works.

For those people, start the moans the day it's officially released...

What's the difference, the same version will be released as the GM, so same things would apply (short of perhaps some apps being updated by that time).

Installed the GM last night on my iphone 5 and I'm loving it. Everything seems snappier and having the controls for wifi and BT is great. I noticed the bugs have been ironed out since Beta 3 and all my apps are running just fine. In terms of battery issues, I use a Mophie Air all day with my phone. I've noticed that the battery issue has been addressed. I've had my phone on with Mophie since 7am with wifi and BT on paired with my Pebble and my car. I'm now only down to 95% and it's 6pm. Pretty good.

iOS 7 / iTunes Beta 2 question

Hi.

I am running iTunes 11.1 b2. I have having 2 management issues with how iTunes 11.1b2 is working with my iPhone 5 running 7.0

1. iTunes 11.1b2 is showing an old icon in the iDevice sync pane. For example, the old Newstand icon shows up. It looks to be the only icon that is not updated to a new ios7 icon.

2. My folders are only allowing me to put 12 items inside, and then it refuses to take any more when I try to arrange icons/folders through iTunes.

However, then, after I sync with iTunes, it kicks out the last 3 to a home screen with space, leaving 9 in the folder.

If I drag icons into the folders on the device, when I sync, it kicks out any beyond the first 12 I put into the folder.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this? I am re-setting up the phone after doing a fresh install of the GM on a new setup of the phone.

Thank you,
JMelrose

Edit: The iTunes version shows as being 11.1b48 (48) 64-bit, which looks to be the latest version (beta 2)

(non-dev) Installed the GMs for both iPhone 5 and iPad 4 successfully by option-clicking "Check for Update" using 11.0.5 without the need to restore anything.:D

I read through the first 5 pages and got frustrated looking for this answer.

If I have the iPhone 5, the 11.1 beta 2, and the correct ipsw for the iPhone, is a dev account REQUIRED to install it? It says not-eligible for the build yet I see people saying they've done it without dev UDID's being registered.

One does still need to kill apps in iOS7.
Easily seen when new app won't login or parse data until you start closing others, right there in the multitasking window.

Anyone with auto brightness issues after a while?

Just saw that iTunes accounts in system services has chewed 600MB of data, including cellular.

I suspect it's iTunes Match cover art.
