One fine day in the middle of the night
Two dead boys got up to fight
Back to back they faced one another
Drew their swords and shot each other
Two deaf policemen heard the noise
And came and killed the two dead boys
And if you don't believe this lie is true
Ask the blind man, he saw it too!

That's how I know it. :D

That's right... I forgot the policemen. Oh and I changed a couple words in you version.

Oh and the thread needs to stay more on topic....

While OS X can be better (anything and everything can always be better) it is the ONLY Apple product I can't complain about...

In fact, it is the ONLY Apple product, that still keeps me with Apple / Mac...

All the rest, both hardware and software, has been going down for quite some time :(

Who cares?

No really - does anyone care?

Anyone?

Also, I'm really looking forward to getting Snow Leopard, don't get me wrong. It's just that on my MacBook, I don't see that upgrading to SL would be of much use.

There is more to SL then OpenCL. SL is much more responsive on my RevA MacBook then Tiger or Leopard was, it is worth the $30 upgrade for any Mac that can run it.

I've been having random problems going back and forth between my external display and Macbook screen all of a sudden. Hopefully that'll be addressed, but I have a feeling it's a hardware issue.

exchange bug

YES!

The recurring bug has annoyed the hell out of me, when I invited people to recurring meetings, at my job. Some people never got the invite..grr.

10.5.8 was pretty good, but there are still too many beach-balls across the OS. It might honestly not even be Snow Leopard, but the other Apple apps, such as iTunes, which is overly bloated.

Way too many crashes as well.

Sounds like font problems. Open Font Book and check for duplicates, plus validate Fonts. Then, run an app like Font Finagler to clear the Font cache.

Hopefully this hits by Monday or Tuesday. I'm doing a clean install with a SSD upgrade then, and it would be great to just grab the Combo Updater with all the latest Security Updates, etc. rolled up into it.

They sure are taking their sweet goddamn time with this one. Then again, I don't have any problems with 10.6.2, so I guess I should just shut my big mouth.

One thing to note is that I have been running 10.6 with the pure x64 kernel since the betas and never had a snow leopard issue. There does seem to at least some anecdotal evidence out there that the x64 kernel gives fewer issues. Perhaps because pure 64bit kernel extensions are required, people running the x64 kernel are less likely to have exotic kext/driver configurations.
