Big Sir ruined my late 2013 MBP. Yes its ageing, but its extremely capable still. Catalina is night and day faster since I rolled back.

Should probably do a clean install, on my 2014 Air the performance was quite good even with a dying battery.So.. your 7 year old laptop is slow with the latest OS. Weird, /s

All 3 major browsers (Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox) cap the reported macOS version to 10.15.7 to maintain compatibility with websites.Already found a bug the Safari user agent string reports this Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/14.1.1 Safari/605.1.15 like the safari is from Catalina (10.15) and it is on a M1 mac mini.

Yes, sometimes, you have to remove the profile (or manually change the swcatalog) to get identical builds to the release build. Either way, just wait until the final comes out and see if you get an SU update.I installed the developer preview. Working well. When the final version is released, what's the process for removing & installing the final bits? Just remove the profile and then install? Will it pop up in Software Update?
