This is going to be such a non-release. There’s basically zero benefit of installing this on day 1.
You are right. The best day was day 1 of the first developer beta and I am already on 15.1. :D

iPhone mirroring available in EU ?

Unfortunately the current EU laws do not allow implementation of such a feature in EU without potentially being forced to open similar implementation to 3rd parties. That could lead a compromise OS security and thus Apple chooses to not have the feature in EU at all.

(Yes, I know — sounds like BS PR. I actually believe that to be true)

Anybody having memory issues? I m having them since beta 8, many jetsam events .ips on the logs.

I live in Denmark, and I have the iPhone mirroring - and it is working perfectly.

My iPhone and Mac are set up with US Apple ID & US region.

I don’t know if all of this is required or not - but it works with this set up for me - which is my normal setup, and not because of running beta software.

Question, do the RC versions still have the mandatory beta analytics running in the background? I want to say the answer is no, but I wanted to make sure before I install. TIA!

This would be what keeps me from installing it.

Though theoretically, if you remove yourself from the beta after installing it would remove those analytics right?

I don't know the answer but if it is genuinely a RC you would think it has to have those off, since it is potentially the exact build that gets released as final. Of course Apple could theoretically have a switch that they toggle off from their end, so it might still be generating the analytics until launch and they toggle that switch.

I have no problems with Tuxera.
Every mention of Sequoia has now disappeared from Paragon NTFS for Mac pages. Version 16 won't install either. Nice done Apple, those last minute critical changes in development. Not the first time an app stops working between last beta and RC. Not blaming Paragon here, it worked fine during the whole beta, until RC came out.

I'm running the 15.1 developer beta. Is there any way to switch back to the 15.0 channel and get the RC build? I've tried all the settings (Off, Developer Beta, Public Beta) and none of them show the 15.0 RC as an option.

Is the only answer to download the full 15.0 RC and do a fresh installation?

I'm betting there's going to be another build of macOS 15.0 that's different from the current RC build. I went from Sonoma 14.6.1 to the RC of Sequoia (build 24A335) and the Feedback app was installed. No way they're going to ship the final build of 15.0 with the Feedback app.

This release is causing all kinds of issues with Security and Extensions. My Mac's are a mess with programs not running. I would steer clear.

Anyone try installing this on a 2019-20 iMac (Intel)? I'd be curious if it makes things snappier or less so.
Not an iMac, but I installed it on a 2018 i7 Mac mini and I haven't noticed an appreciable difference in snappiness one way or the other over Sonoma 14.6.1.

The feedback app is always there, even in release versions of macOS, in /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications. It's just not normally in the dock.

Paragon NTFS for Mac 15 getting errors. Have to upgrade to 16 now, old version worked well on previous beta's
Yeah I had to uninstall it cuz I thought this would work.
Now when I download it from the website it says its not compatible.
So I gotta wait till they release a sequoia compatible version.
sigh

Yep, you can’t downgrade an OS via Apple.

Either do a fresh install, or keep to the same dev track until you get to stable 15.1 (RC with same build as stable build) and then stick to the stable build by turning off betas.

Heads up everyone. I installed the RC. Everything was fine but I had pre "Sequoia RC" issues on my User account that I wanted to check out. So I started up in macOS recovery and used the RepairHomePermissions command in Terminal. That ran fine and all seemed well, but when I rebooted my home folder was completely goofed. I couldn't access any of my user folders "Documents, Downloads, etc " because they were owned by root! So don't do that!

I couldn't reinstall from my Time Machine backup while in Recovery. I was told to use Migration Assistant. I finally got that running on my goofed system and found out there wasn't enough room on the SSD to install from Time Machine. Luckily I had been holding onto to a used Apple 1TB SSD. Took my iMac apart, installed the 1TB SSD rebooted, installed Mojave first, found and downloaded the Sonoma combo updater using Safari, installed that, rebooted, added my iCloud account, then ran Migration Assistant and installed my last backup from Time Machine. Took over 4 hours including taking apart the iMac and putting it back together again.

If you mean this, the first one gets always activated after an update, but it's not mandatory. I am on 15.1 so can't tell if this section is completely gone.

Tried to install this and trial it until NTFS for Mac by Paragon updated theirs, and it's the same issue it's giving me. Does not work with the RC as well
There is also this one. Says it's ready for Sequoia Beta since months. Maybe it works.

I have installed it because it's in Setapp. But no NTFS drive to test at the moment. And I don't think that would help you, because my 15.1 beta is weeks behind the RC of 15.0.

Is there a way to manually download macOS 15 RC build and install it from a USB flash drive? I'm currently on macOS 14.6.1 and see the macOS 15 updates appear under Settings > General > Software update. There's an "upgrade now" button but when I tried to do it, it said restarting but never actually restarts my mac. The only files I can find are the .ipsw restore onesbut I want the full pkg installer. I am not a registered apple developer so perhaps that's why I'm. having these issues.
