You have no ideea what you're talking about ...
I must say you make a good argument!...

... It would be nice with some points to refute his claim, the things I've seen regarding the upcoming Mac OS from people using it in this forum seem to point to him being atleast somewhat right, as seen how the UI doesn't seem to have fully come together yet, not even close.

iOS26 is pretty awesome. It's beautiful. Cannot say the same for Tahoe. Apple is making a huge mistake with macOS.
macOS is a bit weird here and there, too ipady… but that’s the direction it’s been going in for a while. I think there’s a lot of good in Tahoe as well.

Is Apple Intelligence available in Portugal?

Apple promises but not available on betas.

Assuming nothing crops up last minutes for the release candidate, you can find the full installer from Mr. Macintosh.
I was about to tell them this--but I'll also mention that since SSVs came along, clean installs haven't really been necessary for years. They're sort of a throwback to the "Classic" days, where people would clean-install several times a year even without an update.

I don't plan to clean install my system. SSVs, did you mean solid state drives?

I caved in and installed Rc on MacStudio, wow, that is all I can say... <please help me delete 2 posts, everytime I post there is an error, I do not need duplicates.

I gave up and installed RC on Mac Studui, WOW, that is all I can say, now I have RC everywhere.

I’ve seen a couple of posts saying macOS Tahoe isn’t ready, what’s wrong with it? I haven’t installed the beta so I’m out of the loop.

Lets' hope so. System 7.5.2, the first release for PCI Power Macs was truly dreadful.
Sequoia's initial release was bad enough that I rolled back to Sonoma.
Would tend to agree with Cristim74. Have used the beta on my main machine since beta 5. All my apps have worked with a few rare minor issues. As there is no major overhaul to core service or kernel plumbing this beta phase has been one of the most hassle free I have observed since I started running macOS beta’s over a decade ago now. Not a fan of the UI and there are still one or two graphical bugs/inconsistencies but nothing major. If the Sequoia network issues were an 8 on a crap scale of 10 as far as releases go then I would put this as a 2 or 3

Hey guys! Quick question: I would do a clean instal of macOS Tahoe and was wondering if I can go ahead and install the RC and then continue on the standard (non-RC/Beta) upgrade path. I would just like to do it now since I have some spare time and next week is more tight.

Yes. Just go into System Preferences, open the Beta Updates section, and set it to off. You'll get regular (non-beta) updates after that.

this will be interesting, neither tahoe nor ios seem ready for rc imo
I've been running iPadOS and ATV OS public Betas and I would have agreed with you until I got the RC on both. The issues I had are gone. I'm going to wait on my Macs and phones because they are work related. If just the typical exploding heads on MR after release then I'll jump in.

It's not Time Machine that stops working, it's the Time Capsule hardware. I think it's because it's HFS. I have an external SSD that is formatted as APFS and Time Machine is working fine.
i have external hard drive formatted with hfs and use time machine to backup before and after each beta update - and i even go further than that and backup before and after installing anything.

so far it has been working with the tahoe betas and rc
