Let's hope it fixes the intermittent animation stutter on the 14 Pro when swiping up on an app that has been there since iOS 16 was released.
I was hoping someone else would comment this so I knew I wasn’t the only one seeing this. This stutter is really annoying and ugly. BTW, my device is an iPhone 14 Pro Max on 16.1 PB4.

Oh god yes. That has also been super annoying but not as bad as the apps reloading all the time when you go back to them from the app switcher.

Yes, the constant reloading is bad. I’m switching between an app and safari so I can look something up. I go back to the app and it refreshes. I might be shopping for something or reading a thread, leave app, come back and now its refreshed, and then now I have no idea how to get back to exactly what I was looking at. I just end up giving up.

Yeah its super frustrating.

I tried signing up for something and had to get my CC number from Capital One and every time I went back to Safari to paste it, it would reload the page. I had to start over, get the promo code and CC # etc so many times until I gave up.

I signed up the the iPad OS beta and I haven’t been able to download the beta at all. It still shows 15 as the latest update. I tried removing the profile and reinstalling it, but I can’t seem to trigger it on my iPad Mini 4.

iOS 16.1 installed no problem, so I’m not sure what the deal is. I have noticed a big battery drain with the update before this one, so I’m hoping that’s fixed.

Wow, is this happening on the 14 Pro? It's a freaking brand new phone; it should have enough memory to multitask properly!

Even my 11 Pro Max seems to keep apps in memory most of the time when switching between them, but it does occasionally evict an app seemingly for no reason. The system really should only be evicting the least recently used apps; sometimes I'm using three apps actively and one gets evicted, then I go back to a fourth app I haven't touched in a while and it was still loaded in memory.. WHYYYYY Apple.

Yep, its been happening since I got it. iOS 16 -> 16.0.3 and even updated to iOS 16.1 Beta to see if it fixes it and it hasn't. Its really bad on my phone too.

Can anyone confirm if this patches the cellular dropping that became particularly noticeable in the last 16.1 beta? My phone was so unusable that I downgraded to 16.0.2 and then upgraded to 16.0.3 yesterday where I definitely notice a positive difference in cellular stability.

You mean dropped calls? I had a few in the past week on 16.1 beta 4 but I blamed them on wifi calling. Maybe it was the beta!

SE 2020 128 Gb.
After installing iOS 16.0.2. YT videos freeze, current progress bar jumps back for a minute or two. Solutions: either restarting the app or adjusting the progress bar manually.
16.0.3 helped a bit, but bug`s still there. ((

i really like the island outline. makes it stand out and easily notibable - love it. i wish they made an outline when the background is also white.

My signal bars went to 0 a lot in the last beta. Haven’t noticed it happen again yet in this new update.

Nice! A step closer to the official final release to the public. Let's get it!
Well in yesterdays thread you’ve been eyeing this release and now … you and we and I got our wish hehehehe.

Nicely done.

So now I need you to wish Apple to bring back the iPhone mini with Dynamic Island and same 5.4” OLEf form factor for early 2023 ;)

Please 🙏🏿

I'm not beta testing or anything, but iOS 16.0 through 16.0.3 have been huge battery guzzlers. I'll lose 10-15% while I sleep at night. My iPhone 13 Pro Max was a battery champ.

Granted, you can't really compare the latest release of iOS 15 to iOS 16... shrug.

Curious why you’re not charging whilst your sleep overnight? Unless travelling or doing something specific with relation to charge cycles?
