Just to add my 2cents worth as some people appear to be confused still - I've been confused with this error on both my Iphone 12 pro and the wifes 11 pro. The 11 pro was mine and I always sign up for the beta's. Iphone 12 comes along and I upgraded. When you are on the beta program and you get a new phone - it's always a pain. You have to get the new iPhone onto the beta program first, upgrade it to the latest beta, then reset it, and then start again as a new phone (both phones need to be on the same iOS version before transfer / setup will happen). Anyway did all that and then set the Iphone 11 for the wife - all good. Until this error came along and I couldn't work out why both phones were not pulling the updates. The assumption I made was that when the iPhones were setup and transferring everything across - that the Beta profiles came with them - wrong - simply installing the beta profile again - check for updates and good again, downloaded the latest update and fixed the issue. Sorry its a bit long, thought I would explain as it caught me out and I thought I knew what I was doing :)

No update is available for me in the "Software update" section.
I am running the Public Beta 4 version (18B5083a).
Am I missing something?

I am currently in France, if it helps.

Hopefully this fixes the lag in Notes on my iPhone 11. Sometimes I can’t scroll smoothly or the app freezes up. And the keybord lags from time to time.

I hope they give us the option to use “light mode” screen savers even we have the phone set to dark mode (and vice versa) eventually. They did this on Big Sur with the last release. Some of the new screensavers are a nice change and it’s be great to have the ability to choose night or day regardless of the phones mode.

I deleted the public beta profile, and now it doesn't want to download the profile, because it says "iOS device required fro download".

As somebody mentioned above, it almost looks like the iPhone 12 Pro is not being recognized as being an iOS device?
Installed is 14.2 (18B5083a)

- Optimized battery charging for AirPods to slow the rate of battery aging by reducing the time your AirPods spends fully charged

Who charges their AirPods from their iPhone? I don't.

Isn't that just using the iPhone to toggle the setting on the iPods?

Not sure if this is where this goes, but....

Has anyone else experienced an issue in the current ios with Predictive text not working (with regards to emoji's being suggested when you type "happy" or "love" etc.). I've wiped out all my keyboards, reloaded emojii keyboard, wiped the dictionary, turned off and on predictive text, turned phone off and on, etc. I'm just not getting it to work. This is on a new iphone 12 pro running 14.1. Thank you.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by making safari default to the "mobile website" instead of the "desktop website" . (click the AA next to the safari search bar.)

so actually we have to go to the "baby internet", something Steve was saying during the introduction of the original iPhone? ;-)

"And uh they typically combine a phone plus some e-mail capability, plus they say it’s the Internet. It’s sort of the baby Internet, into one device, and they all have these plastic little keyboards on them."

Nah, although you can specify that the Apple beta website (only) default to the mobile website. But I'm sure they will fix it...eventually.

don’t blame appke for the emojis, bkame the unicode people, Apple is just implementing the standard
The Emoji set is nothing more than a typeface (font) set. There is NO REASON that an updated font table should be considered a "major" upgrade feature. And considering that fonts can now be installed on iOS from App Store apps, it makes even less sense. Apple could be releasing the Emoji updates as small OTA updates. That they don't is on Apple, and how they've decided to moronically handle emoji in their OSs.

(And seems like you need a font update… your 'l' key is being harassed by your 'k' key.)

Emjoi's are just one set of things included in an update -- updates aren't really there simply to release new emojis.

Maybe a silly question but on one iPad which is on 14.2, the intercom notifications are set to "Never" in the Home app. And this cannot be changed at all. Notifications in the settings app for the Home application are turned on though.

Does anyone know if this is age restricted at all or this is a bug please?

Other iOS devices seem fine to settle Notification level in the Home app.

Thanks
