You might to get on the latest Beta of Outlook and that one will work. Had the same issue but with the Aug 10 Update Outlook is working and no beachballs anymore. You can get it when you subscribe to the BETA channel.
Outlook Version that works is: 16.53 (21081001)
I did not have any luck with that fast beta version you mentioned. Did you use that with the new PB4 or the DB5 from yesterday? Do we know if they are the same build of Monterey?

I am using it on the DB5 from yesterday and works without any glitch. No beachballs and smooth working. Build for DB5 is 21A5304g. So you can check if they are the same.

Thanks for the quick feedback. A couple things that didn't work for me on DB5 - I couldn't use my scanner as I didn't have application rights for that, Microsoft AutoUpdater wouldn't launch as I didn't have privledges... some strange stuff never seen in these types of beta updates! Any other issues you've seen?

Have not seen these issues with apps rights or AutoUpdater not starting. What I had done though recently was manually update all Office365 apps manually as AutoUpdater started to give me errors a few months back that it could not update the apps.
I then went ahead and installed the update 21080301 (I think that is the one that was published on the MS website for early access) and everything worked. When updating to DB5 outlook gave me the spinning beach balls and then I ran AutoUpdate and updated to the latest Beta (21081001) and then it worked for me smoothly and have not found any issues so far.

Wow thank you! This worked for me (for now...).

Yes since beta 4 Apple added Administrator authentication needed after download/preparation was completed before it installs. This is the dialog you see after the the system has been updated when you look at Software Update.
yes but it should not I am the only one using the machine and admin.

Yeah - it killed Outlook for me... any tips on getting it to work appreciated. If I reinstall from earlier Time Machine backup will I get the previous version of the beta?

Outlook is working ok for me, I am not using the Outlook Beta version, running 16.52 on a M1 MBA.

Killed Outlook for me too 16.52 keep freezing with the spinning wheel. I updated to the Beta Channel Version of Outlook (16.53) and it's working now. That other "New Style" of Outlook is not an option for me (It's horrible if you actually use Tasks)

Now if I could just get the photos app to actually start scanning faces…..

I'm on these exact versions also on een M1 Macbook Pro, but I can't use Outlook. I've tried to remove the accounts and re-add them, but that didn't work. I'm now trying to remove Outlook and reinstall completely to see if that works.

Outlook working normally on this beta, for me at least.
I have two email accounts in my Outlook, one Gmail and one Exchange account for work, and anytime I went into the exchange account I ended up having to force quit after I clicked on an email as it would beach ball and freeze. I haven't yet been able to get around this and now it is doing it for my Gmail account in Outlook as well.

Edit after reading further posts: M1 iMac for me...now using Mail for the time being for Gmail....my Exchange account will not be working from my Mac for the next little bit it seems like. Might try the Outlook Beta as others suggested though.

Looks like I spoke to soon, now on the spinning beachball of doom. :(

Same thing is happening with my M1 With PB5 and Outlook 16.53, it crashes with a pop-up. However, when I created a new user then Outlook is working like a charm on the new one! How to resolve it??

Question for the group - how do I re-enroll in the Apple Beta program for the Mac? I unenrolled so I could get the Big Sur 11.5.2 update, which did not show up in my Software Update (nor did the 11.5.1 update). Now that I have it, I want to go back to the Beta. When I go to the site and sign back in, it just goes back to the Beta page and I don't get any file to download and I don't see a change in the Software update. Anyone know what to do?
