yep, been worth it for awhile nowWith 11.5, will Big Sur finally be worth installing?

isn't that a Fujifilm issue not a Bigger issue?Hopefully this includes native raw support for Fujifilm GFX100/100S.
then you installed the appleseed for Monterey and not BigSurBut how do I join the pb? When I’m trying I just get macOS 12 and I can’t join that yet
oh snap, you must have forgotten what it is like to run Windows. Actually I am on the developer betas and have been for years, I am very much impressed with the Apple releases. Maybe I just know what I'm doing, don't use sleazy, sketch web sites, don't use a lot of software with kexts and deprecated crap. Clean installs once a year to clean up all the beta stuff never hurts, and Oh, I have almost no problems, so I guess that must count for something. But if you are simply referring to early releases for a production machine, yah it would be basic incompetence to install an early betaWhy in the world would I install a beta on a system I cared about? I have work to get done, that work does not include experiencing Apple's software development incompetence *on purpose*.
When I login to public beta Monterey is the only one that are there.then you installed the appleseed for Monterey and not BigSur
It has been worth installing since 11.3 (maybe even earlier). With 11.5, will Big Sur finally be worth installing?
Nope! It's an optional Apple feature. Apple has to add camera support for their raw engine. I can review or edit in Lightroom and Capture One, so it's not a deal breaker, but it would be nice to view those photos natively in the Photos app on my iPhone/iPad.isn't that a Fujifilm issue not a Bigger issue?

There should be an Advanced section or “other”, sorry. Don’t remember exact wording. You can dismiss the Monterey Upgrade and the so the macOS 11.5 update. When I login to public beta Monterey is the only one that are there.
The Big Sur profile will present the Monterey beta Upgrade, too. I’m honestly not sure why they have them as separate downloads..Make sure you install the bigsur profile. My Mac only has 2 PCI’e channels so they don’t allow Monterey, so I don’t get the choice. There are definitely a profile for bigsur and one for Monterey on aboveApple Beta
appleseed.apple.com
I think it takes both. But there is a growing list almost 2 year long of unsupported RAW formats. There is some suspicion that either Apple no longer have any interest in native RAW support or the price is too high for camera manufacturersisn't that a Fujifilm issue not a Bigger issue?
I agree. I never unsterstood people, who upgrade the OS just for the sake of it.Why in the world would I install a beta on a system I cared about? I have work to get done, that work does not include experiencing Apple's software development incompetence *on purpose*.

And why would you bother with experimenting, especially if it's a computer you use to make a living, and the failure of that could mean (serious) business damage?
Thanks. Didn't see that post. Please see post #13 where I clarified my suggestion.
I always recommend a backup system if you make a living off your computer. As computers do get damaged, lost, stolen or run into bugs.
Linuxthink, that's what it is.I agree. I never unsterstood people, who upgrade the OS just for the sake of it.
Believe it or not some people have more than 1 partition. Yes folks, it is possible to install a beta os on a different part of your hard drive than the one which holds your mission critical operating system which is only stable due to the generous work and feedback done by the beta testers.I agree. I upgrade to macOS 11.5 to test the connection with my Belkin Dock. Seems like things have been sorted!I agree. I never unsterstood people, who upgrade the OS just for the sake of it.
